Breakfast was very good, lots of choice could have done with some cereal. Service was a bit patchy, order came with beans and no mushrooms as asked for. Had to ask for cutlery and butter just a bit of effort needed really.
Room was good, nice ensuite, windows not great as pigeons came in room when opened.
Location really good couldnt have been better.
Just think with a little money spent on it to update and a bit of training for staff this location could be excellent. Staff very friendly and did try. Food when it arrived as did have to wait quite a while was excellent and worth the wait.

The location was a little out of the way but not an issue. The hotel, the grounds, the room, the public areas, the bar, everything about it was absolutely lovely. A great atmosphere, everywhere was well decorated, clean, inviting, comfortable. The staff were amazing, so helpful, courteous, friendly, always there when you needed someone but not hovering around all the time. The food in the restaurant was delicious, great variety and freshly cooked and well sized portions. Breakfast was incredibly good value for money, with quality produce. Fantastic overnight stay and will definitely stay again. I can imagine in the summer, sitting outside with a long cool drink!

Outstanding facilities. Love that the price is so reasonable and yet the standard was unbelievable. Room is beautiful with motherly homely touches. Could not fault at all and would return all day long will also recommend to others. Shower in room is unreal, garden is stunning, games provided brilliant touch. Honestly you would never believe for the money the standard and attention to detail. Can’t say enough to be honest. Truly amazing 5 star

The Shepherds Hut was a perfect stay for me and my husband. Shower was hot, bed was comfy and Wi-Fi was spot on. The breakfast delivered on both mornings was a-mazing! After the first morning I couldn't wait for it to arrive on the second morning. It was blowing a gale and freezing outside however inside was so cosy and warm - you'd never have guessed. As we were only down for 2 nights as we were attending a wedding which took up majority of our time - we never got to use the hot tub! :( Wish we had stayed another night! Definitely on our list to visit for a more leisurely time.

Great access for Yarmouth and the Broads which are on the doorstep. Upton is great for local dog walks with many quiet roads leading in a circulate pattern. Fabulous local community pub and shop which is well worth booking a table at. Sunday roasts were fab and the shop has anything you want.
Definite fabulous base for touring from Lowestoft to Cromer! and all up the east coast with easy access.
The host's were amazing and very helpful but also left you alone for your holiday! also helped direct Tesco for our shopping delivery!!
Come and stay with Mick and Sue and Hendriks the Spaniel, a real gem in Norfolk!
