The location and outlook, views from the bedroom over the harbour. Friendly staff and the locals were very friendly and chatty. We will definitely visit again and stay for longer.

After we spoke Flora and let her know we would be late, she set the heater so it would be warm for us when we arrived. The little hut was cozy and the beds were comfortable. The little cafe at the top of the hill had great brunch also was very convenient.

Breakfast was incredible, the best of the trip. House-baked pastries, breakfast made to order. They send you out the door with extra croissants, etc. Staff incredibly friendly. Rooms are flawless. Beds are comfy. Location is spectacular.

A lovely place, a lovely area. Great service and food options from The Deli, overlooking the harbour. The evening meal at The Starfish was ok, but the organisation, attention to detail and service wasn’t ok.

Tarbert is a lovely little town with plenty of shops for food and other supplies, without being a busy shopping centre. There are great walks around the area, and if you can travel a bit there are loads of places to visit, or you could just sit and watch the world go by in the harbour!

Eating out in Tarbert can be a problem early in the week.
Eating out in Tarbert can be a problem early in the week. There is a limited choice at the best of times, but most places seem to be closed on a Tuesday (and maybe some other days as well).
A tour of Tarbert itself only takes half an hour or less, but it is in an attractive setting. I suggest you pass through in the daytime, have a coffee in Cafe Ca'Dora, buy local whisky from the specialist local seller, and move on.

Tarbert is a lovely little seaside fishing village on the shores of Loch Fyne in Argyle. It's a nice location with great facilities for a small village. We ate in the Stonefield Castle restaurant about two miles from the village. The setting and view from the dining room were outstanding, both the service and food were excellent.
We loved everything about our stay here. Our room (Arran) faced the harbour/marina and we parked just along from hotel (free). Owners Mark and Aly are a lovely, friendly, helpful couple and a great example of B & B hosts who care about their guests. Aly’s Mexican porridge has to be tried, definitely something I will try to do at home. Everything you could want for breakfast is on offer and nicely presented. This would definitely be the place we would stay if we ever go back to Tarbert.
We stayed at the moorings as we had a wedding nearby at Crear. The moorings is in the perfect location in Tarbert overlooking the harbour yet far enough away that you can’t hear the main street in the evening. Andrew was an excellent host, his house is very clean and the bed was super comfortable. He makes a mean breakfast in the morning which I would highly recommend.
We stayed in the Chieftain suite which was lovely. Decor was a combination of very comfortable and wonderful decor from around the world.
Bed very comfy as was the living area.
Superb view over Tarbert harbour and great restaurants all round but book ahead.
We loved our stay and were sad to leave .
Breakfast currently served to your room which was also very nice.
Lovely Pub with rooms right at the harbour in Tarbert. The picture was taken from my room.
The owner is very attentive and goes out of her way to make guests happy. There is a beer garden out the back. Pool table in bar. Nice selection of Single Malts and my favourite beer Moretti on tap! All in all great value for money. Will be back.
Large clean room with a small fridge, sitting area and satellite TV. Free parking outside was a bonus and there are nice views over the small harbour. Although our private bathroom was located outside, but near, the room, it was large with a walk in shower and plenty of hot water and very clean. A good budget hotel room.
Nice, clean and comfy room with beautiful view of the harbour. The owner was there to greet us on arrival. Perfect place for visiting the beautiful Tarbert castle and transiting to the Kennacraig ferry (only a 15-minutes bus ride away).
The location was excellent in Tarbert. Lovely position by the harbour within walking distance of restaurants and pubs. The shower was good once you figured it out. Overall we enjoyed our stay because Tarbet was a lovely friendly base
Location was ideal for ferry the next morning and the town is beautiful. We walked to shell. Beach, Tarbert Castle and had a delicious dinner. Walking was easy.
We had the ensuite family room and it was perfect for the 3 of us.
The location is right at the harbour in the centre of Tarbert, a lovely place, with great views. Communication with the owner excellent, and he was very helpful. I'd definitely go back there, and would highly recommend.
The whole thing! Fantastic idea for a place to stay and will definitely be back. Tarbert is a bonny wee port town and has plenty to offer. The boat is a stunning little place and has everything you need
Location in Tarbet was perfect for our overnight stay before the ferry. Room was exceptionally clean and well appointed. Had nice bathroom and good views over the harbour.
The property is in a great location opposite the harbour in Tarbert. There are local amenities within walking distance. We ate in the restaurant and the food was lovely.
The room was large and the adjacent shower room was good. The location is great right in the center of Tarbert and easy to connect to bus and ferry transport.
