We liked that the local parking we used for the van was even accessible for campers. The community was really friendly, lots of people with dogs going about their day. The local Booths was a great place to get meals. We liked the kitchen so much that we didn’t go out for food locally but both pubs in the area looked quality! The roads there are small but manageable and that’s the feeling you want from a place like that anyway. I like that ours close enough for a day out around Malham. The crag walk at the top of the village also suffices for a viewpoint.

Great little town with good amenities.
Great little town with good amenities. Lot of great walks nearby. The Talbot pub good atmosphere and food, the Old naked man cafe and shop is good but have a look down the backstreets for small local independents. A walk along the river and into nearby Giggleswick is worth a visit, find Russel Harty's grave in Giggleswick church yard and have a pint in the Black Horse next door

I have never seen so many quilted jackets and boots! lol VERY popular with walkers but very quaint and bijou. It's perfectly formed and self-contained but not many options of anything Three pubs and about thirty shops. It ain't Las Vegas! but that's its charm.

Settle is a lovely and friendly market town.
Settle is a lovely and friendly market town. There are lots of great places to eat - the sit-in fish and chip shop was wonderful and Sunday lunch at the Golden Lion was great value. There are walks, of all ability levels, from the town and the Victoria Hall offers great live entertainment. There are some nice independent shops, great local butcher, as well as a couple of good supermarkets. All in all, a great place to visit.

There are lots of shops, except charity ones, just Age Concern and Swimming Baths ones. Plenty cafes, pubs, good chippy {Fisherman} but locals are not friendly. Dislike tourists? Come from Clitheroe and locals TALK to them. Not here.
The hotel has a beer garden, parking at front and rear of hotel, staff were very friendly, food was very good, bedrooms have been refurbished to a good standard, good location only 5 mins walk into Settle. WiFi was good, one of the most powerful showers I have ever encountered in a hotel plus plenty of hot water. 2 small fridges at end of bedroom corridor to put any drinks into plus fresh milk for your tea in your room plus we did have complimentary water and juice in it also.
Everything wow. The decor, the staff, the room was beautiful, lovely little espresso machine in there too, very comfy bed, the food was fantastic, breakfast was exceptional. We usually stay at the Royal Oak down the road and we’ll never stay there again, so if you’re in between which one to choose, pay the little bit extra because it was well worth it. We stayed in Leeds at the Hilton for a few days prior, and this hotel made the Hilton look like a travelodge.
Lovely cosy house. Everything we needed and more. Space for the two of us (two good friends) who had come to the area for the three peaks. Quiet neighbourhood and parking available too. The house was just a few strides away from a local footpath along the river into Settle and had a small back garden with views of the riverside and (when the leaves drop from the trees) the fells. The host was really lovely and made contact with lots of information.
Beautiful charming hotel, made to feel very welcome right through our stay. The staff was very polite, attentive and genuinely nice people. The seating areas outside with the Beautiful views and gorgeous smelling lavender was so relaxing and our room was so lovely and clean and the bed was the most comfortable bed I've stayed in, in a hotel. I will definitely stay again.
Great few days at The Craven Arms. The break was a Christmas present for my elderly Mum so we had a downstairs room. Very clean and comfortable. The staff were excellent, the breakfasts and evening meals were top class.
Great location for touring this beautiful area and super dog friendly.
Suited our needs very well as it was only a short walk to the centre of Settle and central to the Yorkshire Dales. The cottage was well equipped with good size rooms and the hot tub was an added bonus after days out. The host was very welcoming and provided great insights to the area.
Dinner (not included) and breakfast (included) were both excellent, with a good selection of beer at the bar. The manager (Michelle) and all staff were very friendly and helpful, steering us to the Settle Social Club where we could watch a football match we were interested in.
The hotel downstairs and rooms were beautiful and comfortable. We asked if we could use our room else it to get changed for a wedding and they were extremely accommodating and allowed us to check in early. Our room was ready and we had a wonderful stay. Thank you!
The apartment was just beautiful, very clean , comfortable and warm everything was to a very high standard!
Loved the location ,had a lovely couple of days just wandering about settle taking in the coffee shops and sights and we had sunshine to!
Perfect location close to the town centre but tucked away in a quiet area with a great cafe opposite. Attention to detail was spot on-well equipped kitchen and cosy lounge and sleeping quarters. Nice decor and comfortable bed.
Good price in that area and not far from some of the attractions like Craven Lime Works, Victoria Cave and Malham Cove. Peoples are friendly, small local pub inside the hotel are nice. enjoyable good quality breakfast.
Every part of the hotel that we saw was clean, fresh-looking, and nicely furnished. The dining room was particularly spacious and comfortable and the food was very good. The staff were friendly and obliging.
The cottage has beautiful decor and everything you need for a great stay. It is in the perfect location for visiting lovely Settle and the surrounding area.
