Lots, lots and lots to like.
Great bus routes near to get around, fantastic little town for things that are needed.
Parking was a big bonus for us.
The little touches made the stay feel really welcoming, such as the condiments, cookies and milk.
Great facilities on offer, wifi, washing machine, on suit W/C, kitchen, microwave.
The bed was super comfy, the stay was really nice and we would glady come back, the overall rating i would give this is 8.5, the 1 is shower error. Without that its only 0.5 off and its little things like paint marks and tv
With a thatched roof and white stone walls, The Old Ferry Boat is considered England’s oldest inn. Overlooking the Great Ouse River, the rooms are tastefully furnished and have free Wi-Fi.

We were going to St Ives for the annual and amazing Old Riverport Jazz and Blues Festival - now in its 9th year - four days of free !!! awesome bands which coincides with the Heritage Open day in St Ives.
Because the music was hosted for free it meant everyone had a bit more money available to pay to get to St Ives and / or to have a bit of treat. St Ives has the perfect medieval layout for such an event and the weather was perfect for the outdoor music events. Discovering the quirky venues in such a beautiful historical riverside town was a real joy, and the quality of the muscians made it a genuinally special bit of magic.

Lovely little riverside town with plenty of amenities.
Lovely little riverside town with plenty of amenities. Some great restaurants, we'd recommend Di Ritas Italian, and the Hambleton Bakery (next door to Waitrose).
We had a charter trip on the Electric Boat company, and that's 5Star! You must try it, but book in advance.

I like the mix of little shops and cafes, and there are lovely walks by the river and beyond. We enjoyed the fabulous food at the Italian restaurant on the waterfront, and its a good idea to book, it’s very popular. It’s very easy to get around, with a lot of paved walk ways, and we walked everywhere. I was disappointed in the amount of larger shops that have closed, but sadly this is the same in many small towns, so I am not being critical of St Ives.

Interesting and attractive Cambridgeshire market town.
Interesting and attractive Cambridgeshire market town. We were only over-nighting, so didn't have the opportunity to investigate the town's attractions. The riverside looked especially pretty. Definitely enough promise to tempt us back for a day trip.

No thru traffic which made walking around the town very pleasant; old river bridge out of the town and river quay is delightful. Very old buildings to admire and the flower market together with the food market on another morning made shopping a really enjoyable experience for the visitor to the town.

Especially liked the ion\pod area.
Especially liked the ion\pod area. Coffee excellent at £1.75.
After 1,1/2 mile walk the bacon rolls were excellent. Butchers thick bacon , fresh baked rolls and butter. The flowers and cleanliness of the walks. Very friendly atmosphere. Had to go back for another coffe and cake on the walk back. Interesting crafts and individual shops. Will go back and spend more time there.
Very well located for access to town with plenty of parking on site. It’s a quiet, small and friendly hotel with well appointed rooms and bathrooms. The only disappointment was the lack of cooked breakfast. We’ve stayed before and this has been good but sadly they are struggling to replace staff who’ve left but I would stress this is a national and hopefully temporary problem and the long serving staff have been working very hard to keep it going. Highly recommend for visiting St. Ives or a pit stop en route near Cambridge.
It was a wonderful apartment in a quiet location about half an hours walk from St Ives centre but close to a number of shops, bars and restaurants. It was very clean and tidy with 2 large bedrooms and a very large lounge/dining room. Not ideal for young children as there are are number of breakable items ie glass table. Great for adults though .
Lovely comfortable house. Home from home. Visiting for a weekend to see family. The house made a great base and was an easy walk into St Ives. Very comfy beds. Great shower. The property was very clean and had a nice garden to relax in. The house was well equipped. Ray is a fantastic host and was super helpful. Would definitely stay here again.
A very old but popular pub in the village of Holywell a 10-15 min drive to st Ives.
Free parking.
Only a few rooms.
Room with very comfortable bed.
My single room with double bed faced inwards to a roofed area so no sound from pub below.
Huge cooked breakfast of smoked salmon and scrambled eggs.
Friendly staff
The restaurant was well-appointed, with a relaxing atmosphere and the staff outstanding. The food was very good and satisfying. The rooms and hallways were very clean. Also, it had everything we needed: hairdryer, tea kettle and supplies, bathroom amenities like shampoo, body wash, conditioner.
1. corner room had windows on two sides, allowing air to circulate
2. breakfast was superb: ample food, lots of choice, and very helpful staff
3. facility maintenance person lent me tools to repair my bag
4. room was clean
5. hotel near to path to jog and in town centre, near amenities
The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The room as excellent, especially for the price. And the location is fantastic, St Ives a great village to stay at and hotel has it’s own food or a number of restaurants very close on the river. Breakfast was lovely with lots of choices.
Lovely location, love st ives. Little things let the room down. Also couldn't get my head round getting draft beer outside then having to go inside to pay. What happened to the old restaurant?? Also the bar is tiny now. Much prefered how it used to be. It just needed updating
Was welcomed in reception by a very friendly lady who dealt with the booking-in whilst telling us all about the hotel and St Ives and its eateries.
The spacious double room was extremely comfortable.
The bathroom had a bath!
Enjoyed a very full English breakfast. Mmmmmm!
Beautiful!! Love the history, loved the country location!! it is close to Cambridge, but didn’t have time to go there, so will have to come stay again! There were plenty of places to go for beautiful walks. 😍
Staff was Great and food was good! Cheers!🍺
Great location for the town and access to river walks. Nice spacious kitchen with big table for family meals. Well equipped kitchen. Bedroom and bathroom accommodation good. Helpful host answered queries promptly.
I stayed at Slepe Hotel as was working at a local festival for the weekend. Nothing was too much trouble for the extremely friendly staff and they were very accommodating about my late arrivals back each night.
great location and close to family whom we were visiting, St Ives is a lovely town with many practical features. Host very helpful and house well equiped ,would have no reservations about staying there again
Very friendly staff. Good location - a flat 15 mins walk into the centre of St Ives.
A good full English breakfast meant we weren't hungry for rest of day.
Beautiful garden and comfortable communal spaces.
We loved the accommodation, it was so central, tastefully decorated and perfect for a family meet up. The host was friendly, thoughtful and accessible. Great value for money with several amenities nearby.
Great value and excellent location for access to St Ives. If travelling by car, the availability of Hotel car park is a big bonus since parking elsewhere in St Ives can be awkward and expensive.
Very well appointed and immediate impression was of high quality accommodation.
Further exploration revealed a few pointers for improvement for 'luxury accommodation '
The apartment was incredibly clean and much more spacious than it appeared in the photographs and it was fantastically located for all the amenities in St Ives.
Great location for the jazz and blues festival weekend. This hotel is under new management and the new funky decor gives it a fresh , contemporary look.
