We had a nice room which was very clean.. The young lady who greeted us at 8.30am had a lovely cheerful smile for us.Breakfast was excellent and we could choose what we wanted to eat not just the full cooked breakfast. This is the second time we have stayed there and like it very much.

Everything was amazing. We were welcomed by Jane, who showed us to our room and answered our questions, even fulfilled our special request to have a late checkout. The room was fantastic. Gives you a homely feeling with all the extras. The views are amazing and it is so peaceful. Perfect place to relax. We had a lovely stay and would not hesitate to go back. 5 star in our opinion!

Lots to do and see in the immediate area and convenient for travelling further afield to other nearby places of interest. The Rufford Arms was an excellent place both to stay and to eat. Don't miss Rufford Old Hall and the narrowboat marina on the canal.

The gaggle of misogynistic men that propped up the bar since teatime that you had to squeeze past to enter the pub. I was so embarrassed that my young son had to listen to their sexist language whilst with me. The smell of cannabis was overwhelming and the staff, with the exception of the lady at breakfast, weren’t particularly helpful or friendly.
Great sized room but the lock on the door was difficult to open.
The area was beautiful and we could have stayed longer and gone walking. The hotel room was quiet even though there were a lot of people staying. The room was very nice and clean. We enjoyed a drink when we arrived and the man in charge was very helpful and friendly. The meal in the evening was good and very reasonably priced as were the drinks. The breakfast was great all freshly cooked and no buffet style . The staff in the evening and at breakfast were professional but friendly and efficient.
Hotel was amazing.beautiful room but the only issue was we was on the ground floor.
The people staying above us we could hear everything.down to peeing in the toilet
Had no sleep for the 2 nights we stayed due to people banging about from 2am..heard tv ,arguing and walking up and down from 2am till 6am
All guests was complaining about the same issue but was deemed funny by hotel management.
Not funny when you have spent 5 hours travelling, ate tired and the ceiling has zero sound proofing.
The hotel was lovely and clean and liked the quirky touches in the room and plenty of tea and coffee and biscuits and also btl of water. The restaurant was very smart and the food was amazing couldn't fault anything. They had a cocktail list but didn't have a long island ice tea I asked and they made one for me no problem. The staff are very friendly and very attentive.
Fantastic base at excellent price . Rooms have been upgraded to high standard . Excellent service. Great food at very reasonable prices. A busy hotel who cater well for community. Nice quiet rooms. This is our 7th time visiting. Great value. Lovely friendly helpful staff. You wont be disappointed.
This is a basic hotel that provides great value for money and is super clean and tidy- cheap rooms normally come with a cleanliness tab but this is fantastic. Decent breakfast also and really friendly staff 👍
Pub is decent also
Excellent cuisine for both breakfast and evening meal.
All staff were also superb - courteous and professional.
Room was spotless as was the whole hotel.
Will certainly visit again.
Very familiar with location, have dined at restaurant before but first time stay in hotel.
Room large and airy, plenty of storage, good bathroom with large shower over bath.
the room was a reasonable size and both it and the bathroom were clean.
the landlady was very welcoming and obliging and working extremely hard to make the hotel a success.
Very comfortable hotel in a quiet, rural location. It was perfect for what we wanted. The room was modern and very clean. The food very good. Staff friendly.
