Although the single room was a bit small, it was nice and clean. I appreciated the little coffee station in the bedroom. The room had sufficient supply, I was not missing in anything. Good for a short stay.

Very quaint.
Very quaint. It is known as Little Switzerland and certainly lives up to that name. We ate at our hotel The Rock House and at The Village Inn. Also breakfast one morning at The Rising Sun (sister hotel of The Rock House.)Everything is within walking distance. All the shops are gift shops or food outlets. Nearest small supermarkets are up in Lynton, easily accessed by the Cliff Railway. There are no Banks, Post Office or ATMs in Lynmouth. Most pubs and hotels only accept card payments.

We first came here 46 years ago on honeymoon so it was great to come back again for our anniversary (we have visited several times over the years) and not much has changed. It is still beautiful, friendly, quiet and a place we will return to again.

First class place to have a short break.
First class place to have a short break. Lots of walking around the area, good selection of shops, although the majority were closed due to staying in late November. Disappointed the railway wasn't working linking Linton.
Wonderful place to stay in an absolutely beautiful town. The building has so much character, and my room was perfect after a hike along the coast path - having a bath was the best surprise I could've hoped for! I was able to grab a drink from the bar and sit in on my windowsill looking out at the sea view. The restaurant wasn't open, which was a shame, but the manager very kindly arranged a table for me at their sister hotel, the Rock Inn, which was lovely. Fab location, tasty breakfast, comfy room - all you could ask for.
We loved our stay at East Lyn house. The house itself was beautiful, all newly renovated inside and sparkly clean. The hotel overlooks the river and you can see straight down through Lynmouth to the sea. Lorna and Steve were the perfect hosts and made us feel so at home and welcome. Having stayed 2 nights we got to enjoy the delicious breakfast offerings twice!! Overall a lovely wholesome place to stay and could not recommend enough. Thank you Lorna and Steve xx
I like everything about the property, it was clean, it has all the facilities, the views from the property was amazing, the location, private parking and easy to communicate with the owners. There was also a complimentary scones with jam and cream which was really delicious and different flavours of teas, which was very nice. We would love to go back and stay on this property when visiting the beautiful place of lynton and lynmouth again.
Lovely views along the coast and along the river from the windows and the terrace. Peaceful and quiet location. Friendly and helpful owner on site. Steep walk down through the pretty garden into Lynmouth, a couple of seats on the way back up for a rest. Easy access to lots of beautiful walks without even taking out the car.
Spacious and clean with modern and comfortable furniture. Ideally situated with a pleasant view. This lovely apartment was well equipped. Decor and accessories were well thought out and all high quality. Our host responded quickly to text messages and the lovely welcome of Devon cream tea was delightful.
Super helpful staff who responded quickly when we reported a plumbing issue in our room. Very friendly personal service. This historic hotel is in a great position on the front with fantastic views. We had a very comfortable stay and a great breakfast.
The hotel is in a great position to explore Lynmouth. We had a sea view room, which was lovely. The rooms are very clean, cosy and comfortable. The staff were very accommodating and helpful. We would definitely stay here again!
Lovely hotel in every respect. Jason gave us lemonade and gave my friend a ride to her campsite, and also gave her a walking stick. Such a nice man. Oh, he also sent me off with croissants to eat on the trail.
The bedding was nice, the room was clean and functional. The mattress was comfy. The cooked breakfast was lovely and the service at breakfast was great. The location was excellent, Lynmouth is beautiful.
