It’s a super wee village with all the shops, cafes, bars and restaurants you would want. Close to woodland walks from the town and short drive to the river and mountains of the Cairngorms a more relaxed feel than the nearby town of Aviemore.

A beautiful area with ancient forest, a local honey maker, an amazing selection of local shops - refillery, bookshop, stationery shop, big supermarket. This is a lovely place to stay to explore the Cairngorm national park. Easy to drive to highlights like Rothy Murchus and Loch Garten. Also lots of other adjacent areas like Nethy Bridge, Forres and Findhorn.

Beautiful area to spend time in. The town is small, has some nice walks and cute cafes. It's in a gorgeous location surrounded by the Cairngorms so I definitely recommend for a weekend getaway, or even a few nights to get yourself out in nature.

Everything about this stay was perfect! Cozy stay with fun and attentive hosts… plus an amazing breakfast! We really could not have had a better time. You can tell they really put so much love and thought into every detail throughout the stay. The hosts also had some fantastic recommendations and were wonderfully knowledgeable about any topic (that we thought of) to further our experience of Scotland. Thank you both for having us!!!
Sarah & Daniel have a lovely home and made us very welcome. We appreciated our upgrade and we enjoyed the different cultural touches they’ve brought to Grantown on Spey.
The breakfasts were delicious with a really good variety to choose from.
We found the fridge in the residents’ lounge very useful for keeping ‘things’ chilled.
Sarah & Daniel are clearly putting in a lot of effort to make their guests welcome and comfortable.
Our hosts, Nick and Cris were awesome and so welcoming. The house is beautiful and our room was very comfortable. We ate dinner at their restaurant and the service was great and the food was delicious. Could not have asked for anything more!! Breakfast the next morning was equally phenomenal. If ever in Scotland again we will definitely stay here!! Only wish we were there more than one night!! Parking was great as well!
The location was ideal, just a short walk to the high street of Grantown-On-Spey,with lots of
Interesting places to drive to nearby.
The breakfast was really tasty, and the table had everything you would like on it and more.
Our hosts Karen and Alex were great,Karen’s attention to her guests is outstanding,
our room and large bathroom had everything we needed, and was really beautifully furnished.
You will not find two more detail-oriented, thoughtful and generous hosts than Thomas and Ben. This stay was exceptional and the breakfast was equal to any five-star dining experience we’ve had in all of Scotland. The owners went above and beyond to return a treasured item back to us that we’d forgotten after we left Grantown. We highly recommend staying at the Rossmor on any trip to the Cairngorms.
Excellent communication and help from Shona (from before we even arrived and throughout our short stay), and gave us a warm welcome. Beautiful house, garden and room, and is in a great location. Breakfast was wonderful in the lovely dining room. Shona provided a detailed description of nearby restaurants and was really helpful and understanding with our dietary requirements.
This is one of those grand old hotels with plaid carpeting, stag decor, and photos of birds. They bill themselves the wildlife hotel. They can recommend birding spots. You right next to the Cairngorms and about 30 miles from Culloden. Lovely dinner followed by several drams of the local whiskies in the cozy bar.
Nice Hotel with Pub/restaurant. A bit aged but in ok condition, the room had new furniture that fitted and was useful. Comfy bed, Easy checkin and a nice pub for the evening even with live rehearsal that evening. Definitely better than the other pub in town ;) here you get local wishky and nice pub food
I liked that you could choose what you required for breakfast. It is a more efficient system. The breakfast itself was excellent.
I attended a Whisky Festival dinner and the food was superb. A lot of time and effort had been put in by the hotel management the chef and the distillery staff.
Everything really. The stay was lovely. The owners were very nice good laugh to. The food was delectable the drinks were cheep and enjoyable. I would definitely highly recommend this to book for anyone. One of the finest hotels in Grantown on-spey ✌
Excellent hotel located a few minutes stroll from Town. Excellent Staff, excellent Dinning, very good Buffet Breakfast. Interesting town for a walk around, well located to visit the Cairngorms without the Tourist hustle of Aviamore.
Great place to stay. Beside we got everything we needed, we got a warm welcome from the hosts with good recommodation about the nearby restaurants. The breakfast was rich and of high quality!
All of the staff were wonderful. Mark, the innkeeper, was very helpful in getting us what and where we needed. We did the Scotch tasting at the hotel and that was great!
Imposing old hotel in the very centre of Grantown on Spey. Comfortable rooms and pleasant meals efficiently served. Excellent facilities for bird watchers
The rooms are spacious and comfortable. Haus Alba is right in the middle of town, close to numerous restaurants. The owners are friendly and very helpful.
