We enjoyed the seclusion of this property. The chalet was perfect and clean with extras such as fresh hens eggs, homemade jam, homemade pastries, milk, coffee, and tea. Karen provides a surprise for those who stay for at least four nights! Karen and John encouraged us to get out and about on their property including interacting with the days old lamb, petting the pigs, and collecting hens eggs. My husband, nicknamed Anchor Man by Karen, took him with her on the quad to check on the sheep before sunset. It was lambing season and the ewes and lambs were checked on throughout the day. They took us on a tour of their property and up to the top of the hill for awesome views. Karen and John were always available to answer questions about their work and about the area. Our four days there went too quickly! We plan to return!
May your anchors always hold fast and your boomerangs return to ye.

This is a wonderful cottage in a quiet neighborhood. It's a little off the beaten path, but not secluded or hard to find. We really wish we could have stayed longer.

The accommodation was standard en-suite, but all the little “extras” made all the difference. These included: great parking, a chilled bottle of wine and little chocolates on arrival, robes and house-shoes, little “sleep well” packet with eye mask and ear plugs, tea/coffee service, and LOTS of plugs!@

A beautiful old property that’s been very well maintained.
Greshornish House Hotel features free WiFi in public areas and views of sea in Edinbane. Among the various facilities of this property are a garden and a bar.
Dunvegan Castle and Garden is a must-visit. Very little traffic and easy to get around. Distances are deceiving because of the narrow windy roads - passing places are an experience!
We had a great lunch at The Three Chimneys just outside Duvegan

Wonderful little town with so many gems if you take the time to explore! Check out the Angus McCaskill museum for some quirky entertainment; the School House for a wonderful, hearty meal; Dunvegan Castle for a fantastic history lesson and some great walking paths; Two Churches walk up to the standing stone; and Misty's for a quick bite and some ice cream. Easy-to-walk town with friendly people.

Dunvegan is in a beautiful area of Skye and centrally located with easy access to the Cullins, and Portree. The weather was rainy most of the visit but we still managed to have a wonderful time and see the sights.

Dunvegan is in the North of the island, perfect for visiting Dunvegan castle, the coral beaches, Neist Point light house, carbost and the talisker distillery. Plenty of walks in and around the area. One negative is the state of the roads....beware! Potholes are everywhere

Dunvegan suffering a wee bit like many places from lack of staff making some hotels ,restaurants having to reduce opening hours but dont let that put you off as always somewhere open . It will get better as more tourists arrive ,our trip was very much at the end of a very strange summer season .We have stayed in the area many times and will most certainly return before too long .
Everything! The cottage is situated a 10-15 minute walk from centre of Dunvegan. Its spacious, with comfy beds and settee. Great tv and loved the wood burning stove. The view of McLeods table mountains from the front living room is spectacular. The kitchen is great plus the owner left some lovely brownies and biscuits, lovely touch after our long drive to Skye. Plenty of handwash and bathroom towels, and loo paper, the owner has thought of everything to enable us to have a super holiday. If only he could have made the weather better too alas!
The location was very convenient to everything we wanted to see on Skye. Breakfast buffet was made onsite by the proprietors and excellent! The hosts could not have been more pleasant and genial. The bed and pillows were very comfortable! The best place we've stayed in Scotland and at a great value. Lots of little extras. The room electrical outlets were very convenient and well thought out for phone charging and accessories.
Extremely comfortable bed in a quiet rural area. Includes a comfortable snug area which is nice to relax in after a full day exploring the Isle of Skye. The breakfast is also brilliant with an extensive selection of quality local dishes.
The host Martin is also brilliant keen to provide recommendations as required to ensure you make the most of your time.
I would definitely book here again next time we are on the Isle of Skye.
Charming, cozy house in Dunvegan just minutes from castle; dinners served are delicious; also two doors down from The Old School restaurant for variety. Incredibly supportive, attentive staff. Clean as a whistle; fun interior with Highland theme. Great lounge for gathering and evening drinks. Jennie and her staff outdo themselves! Oh and make sure to try the local, freshly made yogurt!
This was an amazing experience with lovely hosts, stunning views and comfortable large loft tastefully decorated with all the facilities we needed. We loved meeting Carys and Bill and they were so helpful with all the questions we had about the island. Location is ideal for rest and for visiting the beautiful Isle of Skye. Thoroughly recommended for holiday!
The cabin was beautiful, very clean and comfortable. We loved using the log wood stove in the evening to make it even more cosy. The facilities were great for cooking, showering and relaxing. The hosts Scott & Nadia provided a guide/help book that helped us massively when deciding what to do whilst in Skye, we visited The Dunvegan and had a lovely meal.
Excellent location for doing the northern circuit of Isle of Skye. The accommodation is modern, with lots of light and well fitted. Both Nicky and Ian were extremely welcoming, warm, hospitable and helpful. Nicky's homemade vegetarian breakfast was scrumptious. Ian's guidance on various sites to visit was helpful. Would definitely go back.
Angie is simply the loveliest hostess ever! She helped us find our way around Dunvegan, made sure we had everything we needed in our room, and also booked our dinner at a nearby, very popular restaurant. The setting in this place is stunning and also serene. I felt like we were at the end of the Earth and were also sheltered and comfortable.
Stuart & Janet are wonderful hosts! The room was clean and comfortable, and the common areas were super welcoming! We enjoyed an evening on the sunroom with a lovely view of the coast. Dunvegan was a great, quieter stay, with plenty easy access to the rest of Skye. Stuart made our outdoors day more enjoyable with lent hiking sticks, too.
We loved our stay at Harlosh Cabins! The cabin was extremely well thought out, and was a cozy escape with stunning views of the loch and scenary of Skye. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen was incredible well-stoked, and we enjoyed having a chance to do laundry as well. Would highly recommend if you're looking for a scenic getaway.
Real wonderful cottage in Skye, nice and big room with private lounge where you can Have breakfast and coffee, but what makes the difference are Ian and his Wife, they are really kind and keen to give advice on trips and to provide for all you need! Great scottish breakfast, Easy parking. Would return!
Babas rooms is an excellent choice when discovering Skye as the host takes great care of her guests. We have found the house to be exceptionally clean and the breakfast to be quite diverse with options that will suit everyone.
We would love to return to Dunvegan!
Excellent facilities, beutiful view, Extreemly helpful and freindly staff. Location was perfect with local eateries and places of interest within easy walking distance. Staff were happy to arrange reliable taxi to our night out at another local resturant.
The location was amazing with very nice pastoral views and close to the primary sites around Dunvegan, Fairy Pool and town. Breakfast was amazing too. Fresh baked breads as well as cookies and Catarina even makes her own delicious organic granola.
Great place to have on Skye away from Portree. Near the castle, a good restaurant and other sites to the north. Delicious buns and muffins from the owners who have the oldest bakery on Skye. We’ll done!
Very clean, comfortable. great parking and easy for home base the sleep and spend your day exploring beautiful Skye. we loved our time on the Isle and the Dunvegan Camping Pods made it extra fun.
It was very quite and cozy stay!
