Cuckfield can only be seen as a base as it is a one street village with a couple of nice shops and a couple of cafe/tearooms and not much else. If you want more interesting pursuits you need a car as there is no station (nearest Hayward Heath £10 taxi ride) and one bus available every 1 or 2 hours. Beware I do believe there are no ATM available

Didn’t see much of Cuckfield itself but it looked a pretty village and the Wheatsheaf was a great place to stay, eat and drink. The village is near to Bolney Wine Estate which offers excellent tours, tastings and a restaurant.

Stayed in a junior suite above the SPA.

Stayed in a junior suite above the SPA. Comfortable and spacious room with roof terrace. The staff were all very friendly and courteous, obviously well trained. The breakfast was first class and dinner in the restaurant was excellent. The room service was quick. Had to cut stay short due to a family issue and the staff could not of been more understanding and helpful.

The modern SPA is very good clean with a nice inside and outside pool, sauna and steam room. In a beautiful setting. The exercise part is good, cardio machines are great. Weight machines are basic Great free weight area, and exercise classes. The hotel part where we stayed is separate from the SPA part but you can walk easily between them. The setting where both buildings are located is great if you like forest walks.

Apart from the small size of rooms (which the hotel could not alter) I would give this location 100%. Staff were first rate and considerate. All the necessary facilities (shampoo, lovely towels, wifi, etc.) were supplied. Will definitely visit again if in the area.

Good value and most welcome whilst local hotels and guest houses around Gatwick were jumping on the bandwagon to screw unwary travellers stranded during the Air Traffic meltdown. Staff friendly and welcoming.

This is a nice country pub. I was very happy that the hotel area is separate from the pub itself. This meant I slept well even on a friday pub night. The staff were friendly and rooms were nice
