The Gardens Hotel, hotel in Cheadle

Overlooking the central Piccadilly Gardens, Gardens Hotel is a 10-minute walk from Piccadilly Train Station. It has free Wi-Fi, and guests can use a 24-hour front desk.

There is nothing to like about the hotel. The photos & description are misleading. The photos show a spacious, modern room & lobby. The Garden Hotel was neither spacious nor modern. It is a small hotel with small rooms & lobby, wedged between two other buildings. It is in an iffy neighborhood with extra locks on the door, and street people sitting on the steps.

I only travelled through Cheadle Village on the local bus several times but I remember it from a long way back. There are some local shops along with the chains and a few pubs and coffee bars to rest in. An Iceland supermarket dominates the centre. The abiding feature for me is the church and churchyard of St Mary's at the western end. It is very well kept and a lovely sight at the moment with the cherry trees all in bloom. Around where I stayed, at The Village Hotel, the suburban houses are all large with well kept gardens and frontages.

Cheadle was a cute town within walking distance of my hotel.

Cheadle was a cute town within walking distance of my hotel. I found a lovely restaurant called Ratatouille that served me very nicely even though it was in the afternoon and I was the only person there. The village has suffered from the pandemic and some businesses have closed. It is a lovely place to walk around and spend some time.

Easy walking distance to Cheadle village, where there is many charity shops but few boutiques and no bookshops! Lots of barber shops and nail bars!!! Village Hotel bar food was good for breakfast and lunch. Beautiful walks in Bruntwood Park and another park near Village Hotel.

Fabulous hotel great location for Cheadle and Didsbury where we visited family. Our room had a lovely view over the park. There are loads of good restaurants near by however the hotel restaurant is excellent. Both the restaurant and bar areas are well decorated comfortable places to unwind. There is a fantastic Uber service here which is very cheap to get about. Would make a lovely Manchester airport hotel if you wanted to extend your holiday and go down the night before you fly. There are lots of places to walk in both Cheadle and Didsbury too.

Cheadle is a stones throw from Manchester airport so an ideal place to stay if you have an early or late flight. I stayed here due to being on a course for work (in Cheadle) and didn't fancy the long drive there and back in peak traffic.

    Good hotel .

Good hotel .Good staff, Good Lobby/Foyer but the Rooms new decor did not appeal to me. (Loud colours and designs trying to make it look ultra modern) No telephone in the room although website stated room being booked has a telephone , Walk to the reception area was inconvenient to contact housekeeping / room service etc

A really lovely comfortable hotel. We had a great room which was very big with a roll-top bath and a very comfortable four-poster bed. The hotel is quite quirky with odd statues and paintings around the place. It was in a lovely park and relatively quiet for Manchester apart from the airplanes flying over. The food was good, especially breakfast. The staff was very friendly. We had a car parking space right next to the hotel.

We had a reservation for just one night as the hotel is convenient near the Manchester Airport and we had an early flight out. We were very pleasently surprised how nice this hotel is. A wonderful old building, inside newly renovated and very stylish. Also with a nice bar and very nice restaurant where we had a very satisfying dinner. Bed was a king size and extremely comfortable! Staff friendly and helpful.

Loved the decor and the facilities in the room. The shower was great. Didn’t get a chance to try out the bar or dining room but would do that if we stay again. The park location was lovely though we didn’t get a chance to explore because of the rain. Staff were always available and very helpful. The hotel decor us a lot of fun - loved the quirkiness and humor in the art pieces displayed.

We stayed in Pymgate Lodge, to be close to Manchester airport, the night before a long haul flight. Location was perfect, kind of in the middle of nowhere, but close enough to the airport, without paying airport hotel prices. The host was great, the room was great, happy with the price, can't fault it at all.

I absolutely loved this place. It was spotless, comfortable, warm, friendly lady who checked me in and so cozy. A taxi was booked for me early the next morning and everything went to plan. This will be my first port of call whenever I’m flying from Manchester. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

The facility/room is nice and it's about 15 minutes from the airport (15-pound taxi ride). The staff (owners) are what makes this an A+ hotel. They were very kind, attentive to my needs, and professional.
