The house was located on the main road which is made of stones. You can't open the window because there is incredible noise from 5 a.m., especially cars driving on these stone or people passing by. A huge mess

We liked the town very much, although it was pirate festival so not seeing it under normal circumstances. We ate at Beamer's and The Berry Head Hotel, both excellent. There is a vibrant working harbour and the whole place is very walkable. The pirates were fun too!

Brixham is a working fishing harbour, so if you like eating fresh fish it is a no brainer. The centre is based around the harbour and there are some short flat walks round the harbour and along the breakwater. There are several good restaurants (not all fish), two or three nice pubs, a wine bar and a cocktail bar. There are some wonderful views if you walk up to Berry Head and the old fort. You can of course walk the coastal path north to Paignton and Torquay or south to Kingswear and Dartmouth. Or instead take the ferry or book a longer boat trip. There is also the steam train from Torquay to Dartmouth which you can intercept at Churston.

Great choice for places to eat.
Great choice for places to eat. The walks around the area are so scenic but hard going if you are not used to hiking. Lots of places where you can just sit in peace and quiet. Worth a walk up to Berry Head and the forts. Some nice nature walks as well. Also walk up to the Battery and the coves just further along the coast path.

Beautiful harbour area and stretch of the South Coast Walk.
Beautiful harbour area and stretch of the South Coast Walk. It's a lovely town that does not have the winter shut down feel of some other coastal towns in the UK, probably because it is also a working port town so never really completely switches off.
We ate in La Petit Maison and Rock Fish; both fabulous restaurants that I can highly recommend and drinks/cocktails in Liberties on the Harbour front; also very much recommended.

Brixham is an historical fishing village with a great deal of character. There are many lovely places to visit in the area which are not too far from Brixham.
The coast is lovely with lots of places to walk and enjoy the seascape.
During the summer you can take a trip on the Western Lady crossing over to Torquay.
There are a selection of local shops were you can stock up on provisions without the need to go too far.
You can also enjoy a trip on the Dartmouth Steam Railway, joining at the station stop on Dartmouth Road.
Kingswear is a short drive where there are beautiful views of the River Dart and neighbouring Dartmouth accessible by car or foot passenger ferries.

We liked the ease of access to all aspects of the town.
We liked the ease of access to all aspects of the town. The walk round the harbour to Shoalstone Pool and on to Berry Head is lovely. Lots to see. There are plenty of places to eat and drink in Brixham to suit all tastes and budgets.
The property was in a great location over looking the harbour with great views. It was very clean with lots of character. Rosie and Matthew were excellent hosts, very knowledgeable about the area. Breakfast was delightful with a vast menu of home made hot and cold food, freshly made, along with real coffee, home made yoghurts, cereals, jams and marmalades. Nothing was too much trouble. Parking arranged nearby. We didn’t use the car once since we arrived so much to see and do.
Located two roads up from brixham harbour with an excellent view of the harbour and boats.
The guest house is an old colonial style building with a large garden, great to sit out on an evening or to give your dog a run ( as the guest house is dog friendly ).
The host pip ( Philip ) could'nt do enough for us, if I had to rate him it would be a 10.
The guest house was very clean and you got a lot of choice for breakfast which was delicious.
Amazing location, must have the best views of Brixham. Its located on the first road above the harbour, so you don't have far to walk but you're away from any noise that might disturbyou. The room was as described, big sash windows in the bedroom and bathroom, very light and airy rooms. If you need anything else there is a kitchen/ stores on the ground floor, we used the ice machine. The whole building has been beautifully restored.
More than we expected from this lovely B&B and we’ll definitely be looking to return. The owners were fantastic hosts - incredibly welcoming and provided very tasty (plentiful) breakfasts! Comfortable, spacious room with everything we needed. We loved seeing the steam trains coming past and being able to sit on the terrace in the evening, with only a short drive in to Brixham. Excellent gem of a hotel. Thank you!
Everything! We have stayed in B&B establishments up and down the UK and none of them can compare to this beautiful place. Both Mark & Debra are the most exceptional host's you would ever have ( and so was Betsy)The room was lovely and spacious with everything you needed. Breakfast was cooked to perfection and lots of it!! So, if you want the best in Brixham, stay at Brixham House. Frank (Jack ) & Gill Wood.
The breakfast choice was extensive and all excellent. Our room 1 was comfortable and well equipped heating available and arm chairs with folding card table plenty of sockets. Limited window view but dining room had lounge area with access outside small courtyard. Good parking spaces only 15mins walk to Brixham Harbour and restaurants.
The location was perfect, just a 5 minute walk to the centre of Brixham and with stunning views across the harbour. The property was spacious, comfortable, clean, well decorated and was a home from home-even with board games, books, crabbing nets etc. plenty to do for everyone. We will definitely be returning again.
The Apartments were fantastic. Clean, luxurious, great kitchen facilities and the hot tub made it a really fun and relaxing mini break!
The hotel was also really great, staff were super friendly and helpful. They gave us some tips of where to visit in Brixham and where to walk our dog etc.
The bed was comfortable. Good water pressure in the shower. Very quiet with very little noise from traffic. A really nice breakfast. The host was very friendly. The location is excellent. One tip I can give for eating out in Brixham is book a restaurant in advance! Don't just turn up.
Fantastic location right above breakwater giving easy access to town. Wonderful views across Torbay. Free parking on site is very worthwhile. Decent storage in bedroom. Small problem was sorted very promptly and effectively.
A very well equipped apartment and located well for access to the harbour, local shop and bus stop. Sharon ensured we had a comfortable stay and we were left an extensive Welcome pack. Very good value for money.
Upstairs loft room with balcony overlooking Harbour was fantastic. Rooms were clean and tidy with a cottage style decoration. Great having a dedicated parking space on Quay. All in all great place to stay
Good, car parking space. Easy, ten minute walk to the harbour. Welcome pack included milk and luxury snacks. Very well equipped accomodation. Notified when property was available for occupancy.
It was a very clean, light and spacious apartment.
The location was in a beautiful spot.
The amenities, such as towels, tea and coffee for when we arrived was lovely.
