Walked down hill to get to the centre to find some where to have dinner on Sunday evening.
Struggled back up the hill, rather steep.
Ate at Ravello, good food.
Walked around the church area.
Sure more available other days and earlier in the day.

Lots of character and interesting shops.
Lots of character and interesting shops. Choice of eating establishments. Plenty of places for children and dogs. Parking could be a problem. Proximity to river and canal. Plenty of opportunities for walking. Narrow streets cause driving challenges! Lots of charity shops have opened in the past few years. Some interesting historical places to see.

Lots to see, most places easy to access, local artists and creators well supported, unusual and historical architecture, friendly locals, lots of amenities, dog friendly locations, regular bus and trains, lovely canal and boats, tythe barn, Saxon church, vehicular and pedestrian bridges, easy walk around the centre of the town as mainly flat (some more adventurous walks available if interested) , not too crowded (it was January) and easy to get to the centre and find parking, day trips on canal if you are not confident enough to skipper your own

Beautiful place to spend a day or two but a little short of proper pubs.
Tea and coffee shops are in plentiful supply.
Taking a good look around the back streets is a must as they are really interesting with lots of
oldy worldy cottages.

It's an historic town with lots of interesting architectural features. There isn't really a town centre as such, and a main road runs through the middle, rather spoiling it. Lovely churches (one of which is Saxon). It's quite a hilly area so not easy walking round.

One of the most compelling characteristics of Bradford on...
One of the most compelling characteristics of Bradford on Avon is its unique location on the edge of the Cotswolds facing the River Avon.
The ancient bridge in the town’s centre remains its natural focus and it still retains two of its original 13th-century arches. The historical view from the main bridge incorporates the hill above the town which is dotted with the old weavers' cottages. The riverbank is flanked with 19th-century former cloth mills.
Visitors to Bradford on Avon get the best of everything – shopping, accommodation, restaurants and inns, river, canal and amazing local history at every turn.

Helen's breakfasts were excellent! Locally sourced sausages, bacon, eggs and all the other foods were fresh and tasty! This property is off the main road, thus very peaceful and relaxing. A great pub is only minutes away! Our room was exceptionally clean and cozy. This is an active farm, and we loved the sheep and animals nearby, with the big event being witness to a new-born lamb! If you enjoy hiking, stay here as there are so many trails to explore. Bath, Bradford, and many other sites are very close-by as well. Highly recommended!!!!
The Poolhouse was wonderfully peaceful, private and cosy for our January stay with a lovely wood burning stove and many thoughtful elements aimed at making sure guests (and any accompanying four-legged friends) had everything they could possibly need. The estate in which the little property sits is beautiful and felt deep in the countryside despite being only a few minutes’ drive from Bradford on Avon. Great shower, comfy bed, thoughtfully equipped kitchenette, super clean and with a beautiful interior. Highly recommended.
Our room was very cosy. It had everything we needed for a short stay. The shower room is big and was always warm. They have some lovely animals on the farm. The games room is great! There's lots of family games to play. We recived a lovely warm welcome from the hosts. They helped us with an early check-in and were contactable throughout our stay. It's a great location to explore Bradford on Avon and Bath. We would definately stay here again.
The hotel stands in very attractive grounds and gardens. We had a lovely room - spacious, comfortable and clean. It was just a short distance from Trowbridge and Bradford on Avon. We enjoyed the canal walks and the beautiful architecture in both towns, though Bradford is particularly special - a mini Bath.
We ate in the restaurant and found the food and service to be excellent.
We would definitely return when next in the area.
The quiet, being able to have the window open. The quirky room. Beautiful grounds. Out of Bradford on Avon but near the bus stop and only about 15 min journey to Bradford and 30 min walk to Trowbridge although you can get the bus. The hotel does a full vegan breakfast although i was quite happy with the toast and Marmite and fruit.
As always Bradford on Avon was beautiful, first time at Castle Inn & like most things in the town it didn't disapoint. The meals were amazing & dinner very competitively priced, great that it's a Free House so plenty of drink choices.
Anyone looking for a pet friendly stay....highly recommend.
Staff were excellent.
Ideal location to walk down into Bradford on Avon and to go on local walks. Good road connections nearby too. The Hideaway had everything you’d need for a trip away, immaculately clean and with fantastic countryside views. Joy is a considerate and excellent host, and it was great to meet the dogs too!
The surroundings were beautiful and peaceful. The room was very clean, spacious and had everything you needed. The pool was gorgeous and a lovely temperature. The gym was super and overlooked the pool. Breakfast was a good quality and a fantastic selection. Definitely will be back :) very dog friendly.
A decent room for the night with uneven floors that is in character for a quirky, 500 year old building. It is clean but perhaps a little basic for some. I would quite happily book again. Perfect position in the middle of Bradford on Avon.
Location was good for Bradford on Avon and the breakfast cooked to order with home made compote and Marmalade was excellent . Suzanne is a very friendly informative host who offers home comforts in this peaceful location .
It’s a lovely hotel with a beautiful setting. The staff very friendly & helpful - particular shout out to Olivia in the restaurant whose sunny disposition even put a smile on my husband’s morning grumpy face!
Dick was a wonderful host and gave us a great recommendation to walk the nearby canal path into Bradford then take the train to Bath for a day of sightseeing. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there!
Small idyllic location that gives a one to one personal touch that you won’t get from a mainstream hotel. Staff are kind and look after you and were willing to accommodate speacil request.
Fantastic hosts! Very friendly and helpful. Great location. Ideal for walking into Bradford on Avon and for catching train into Bath. Room very cosy and spotlessly clean.
