Saint-Omer is close enough to not be too much of a challenge to get there yet, French enough to experience the local life. Lots of history, nice walks, good food and excellent cafés and bars. A Saturday market, a lovely park, friendly people and just a place we love to go to whenever we need to relax.

Lots of side streets and little shops, beautiful central square with a stunning theatre building. Very pleasant to wander around. The station building was particularly impressive. We stayed at chic o rail, which has a restaurant serving absolutely delicious food.

St Omer is a beautiful town with lots of interesting buildings and culture. There are nice restaurants. The canals and eco system that are now a Unesco heritage site are really amazing and worth visiting on a small boat trip.

The hotel is in the centre of the town, surrounded by lots of nice restaurants.
There is a courtyard car park, in a one way street, with a narrow entrance, which is difficult if a car is parked opposite.
We only had one night there, but wouldn’t like to stay at that hotel any longer, as the bedroom was uncomfortably small and dated. Open the bathroom door and you have to squeeze past the toilet, which is in the doorway.

Great to return though lots of building work going on.
Great to return though lots of building work going on. A must visit is the deli on the main square - Maison Wident - which provides meals to dine en place but also take away- great value. Also great restaurant just around the corner from the Ibis hotel- Le St Charles.
The gardens have been upgraded since we were last there and were very pleasant to wander around. The Auchan supermarket has great produce and the Paul cafe is great for breakfast.

This is a fairly typical northern France city with lots of nice walks and especially some lovely gardens. It is pretty and generally quite neat and clean.
The cathedral is impressive and when we visited full of life with a recital of medieval music. Otherwise there is not much outstanding but it is a good place to stay for a night. We were en route to Le Shuttle early the next morning and it is very close for the early start we needed
Fantastic place to stay … lots of great eating places nearby.
Unfortunately we had paid for the booking on booking.com but the payment for the room had not been transferred to the hotel. We have agreed to chase booking.com about this as both we and the hotel feel badly let down. Perhaps it would be best to book directly with the hotel until booking.com sort out paying their clients more promptly.
Great location, right in the heart of St Omer.
Very easy check in.
Nice room, spacious.
The host helped us with finding a vet. When the shower wasn't working in our room he offered me the key to a neighbouring room so I could use the shower there.
Weekends and holidays there is free parking right outside the hotel. I'm not sure where the nearest free parking would be weekdays.
Exceptional host. Comfortable beds and very good breakfast (including home made cake). Location a 2 minute walk from St Omer's square. We stayed two nights and would have liked to have made it longer.
Room was very clean and had tea making facilities. Room and house beautifully furnished. Host recommended us several things to do in the town (e.g. the Rubens in the cathedral.)
This hotel is in a great location, right in the heart of the town and next to the cathedral. The restaurant and food were great and the staff and manager extremely friendly. Property was clean and the beds very comfortable. Staff were great helping with a fan for the room when it was hot, and freezing our cool packs for the journey home and took was freshened up every day.
Location was good, situated near La Station and la gare, but a brisk walk from the centre of St Omer.
Food was very good; dinner at the hotel was excellent and great value for money and breakfast next morning was very good - plentiful and varied.
Staff were very nice and helpful - even lending us French convertor plugs as we had left ours at home.
A super little hotel located in the centre of St Omer, but within 200 metres of a free public car park. Many bars and restaurants within very short walking distance. Restaurant was closed Sunday evening - as expected - but the breakfast in the morning was a delight.
The location was great and a nice walk into Saint-Omer that had a great Christmas market with Ferris wheel and ice rink. The host was really friendly. There was lots of room in the accommodation for our family of 6. Free wifi and parking.
The house was beautifully appointed and decorated. St Omer is a lively town and nice for an overnight stop. The bathroom was especially nice. We appreciated the breakfast being optional as we we had our fill of croissants!
Everything was fantastic and we had a wonderful night at this lovely hotel.
It was comfortable and clean. The bedroom and shower were great. car parking was good and reasonably priced. Dinner and breakfast were excellent.
Very friendly and clean hotel.
Well located with adequate parking.
Easy to find.
Great restaurant, with superb food and service, and good breakfast available.
30 miles from ferry/shuttle and very attractive location.
Staff are always pleasant and the breakfasts are good and improving.
Parking is excellent, within a gated compound.
The room is basic but is what can be expected for a budget hotel.
Saint Omer is a great find. We have often driven past but this is a real gem. The hotel is at the centre, close to the attractions and some great restaurants.
Had a pleasant surprise with this hotel, very close to a lovely park which for my dog, was really important. The room was clean and comfy, nice and quiet.
