Mougins is a lovely small town, near Cannes on the French Riviera. There are restaurants, bars, fruit and produce stands and a full-service grocery store; Places to shop, all within reasonable walking distance.
With a car, there are so many interesting and beautiful places to visit. It's a wonderful base to explore the Riviera and I would encourage anyone to visit.

Mougins has changed over time, and we thought we had come back once too often. We have been here over a dozen times in 40 years, and we love it. Several things are less than they were, first being the cuisine. Of course Vergé has passed on, but there seem to be few young chefs aspiring for greatness there. This impression may be partly due to our timing. Several restaurants were seasonally closed. Also, the sculptures all over town of all the fruits and vegetables was rather tasteless, and lent a tawdry appearance. Chic it was not. And moving Commandant Lamy’s statue was an act of disrespect. This was our last trip, but we are grateful for the many happy days we have enjoyed in Mougins.

Mougins is a small and pretty hilltop village with picturesque cobblestone streets, a selection of restaurants (mainly for dinner I think), galleries and views of the mountains and the sea. It is ideally located within 15' minutes from Antibes and Cannes and it's a tranquil and relaxing place to unwind and be in one of the most beautiful places in the world.

Mougins (old town) is so picturesque.
Mougins (old town) is so picturesque. It’s a beautiful place full of good restaurants and lots of art. We would highly recommend l’Amandier, which serves lovely food and has a beautiful view, if you’re lucky enough to get a table outside. We also enjoyed Au Rendez-vous in the Square, although the best tables are for 2 or 3 people.
There’s a waterpark less than half an hour away, which our kids thoroughly enjoyed.

Mougins is a beautiful village in the hills behind Cannes.
Mougins is a beautiful village in the hills behind Cannes. Picasso spent the last years of his life here and the village is now a centre for artists whose workshops dominate the streets. Dining options in the village can be pricey and booking is advisable. Would definitely recommend a visit if you are in the area. You can combine with a trip up to Grasse.
Le Club Mougins is a lovely holiday venue. The site is very clean and well looked after and the staff are very friendly and helpful.
The old town of Mougins is very quaint and attractive and is a haven for local artists who display, and sell, their works. It is well worth a visit and is accessible by foot.
In Mougins, there are many bars, restaurants, shops, supermarkets, take away outlets etc...
Buses to Cannes, where there is a train station, run regularly from Mougins, enabling visits to many coastal towns and cities.
This hotel is located along a main road but is surrounded by palm and fig trees and is actually a very charming, calm and cosy place to stay, with a nice pool. The main house (typical from Provence) is simple but rooms are pleasant, ours was quite large and had a nice bathroom. Breakfast is served in a large room or in the patio, with excellent homemade cakes. Parking lot behind the hotel is large and safe. Last but not least, the cat of the house is so friendly!
Our second stay in the month of November was much improved from our first week. We requested, and received, a unit on a higher floor, #615.
We had an excellent view from the balcony, and no noise from either adjoining units or the floor above. Comfortable bed, a nice sitting area with a handy kitchen and a drying rack in bathroom made this stay the best of our one month trip to France. And Le Club had the best wifi of our trip.
Oh, that amazing view. The sound of birds. To wake up there was like in heaven)) Sweetest hosts. Comfortable suit with everything you need. Close to the sweetest center of Mougins and Cannes in general. And also not far away from highway, comfortable for long distance travel. Thanks to the hosts to have a bite of French life. It’s not comparable to the ordinary hotel experience))
We had a lovely time at Douce Heure! The property is beautiful, with a lovely garden with a pool where breakfast is served every morning. The room was clean and nicely decorated and had everything we needed for our short stay. The property is just a short drive from Mougins and Cannes and it’s perfectly located to explore the French Riviera. Daniele and Alain are great hosts!
This house is a gem, in the countryside, absolutely perfect! We enjoyed every minute we spent there. The host were so nice and welcoming. Rooms are decorated with antiques and really comfortable. Breakfast was perfect, with a nice view of Mougins. Keep in mind you need a car to get there.
The property is wonderful. The rooms are large and very comfortable. The decor is outstanding for a hotel/b&b type property. Swimming pool is clean and well maintained. Breakfast area great, food good. Hosts very accommodating and welcoming. Close to the old village of Mougins.
We got in late and left early and this hotel was perfect for that. We checked in remotely, had easy access to parking and our rooms and a seamless check-in/out procedure, all automated. The rooms and bathroom was surprisingly spacious. Very spartan but adequate for our needs.
A beautiful building inside and out! Our host was charming, helpful and served the most delicious breakfast! Nothing was too much trouble and the view of Mougins from our bedroom was spectacular!! It was like having your own home in Provence,
This is the second time that I've stayed at this hotel. The setting is completely charming and quiet with a lovely view. The room was comfortable, the pillows divine, and the bathroom large. The welcome was kind and the atmosphere relaxed.
The location was excellent, just outside of the old village. Easy walk to the centre ville. Charming host who has multiple properties in Mougins, we are staying with him again later in our trip.
beautiful hotel, very friendly staff who went above and beyond to accommodate us, lovely food and drinks, stunning village, friendly atmosphere, funny shop keeper in local shop nearby
