Mahon is an easy going city. It is small and not too noisy.
Mahon is an easy going city. It is small and not too noisy. There is plenty to do and see. You can cover most areas on foot and there is a good bus service to other parts of Menorca. The harbour area is attractive with boat trips which are a great way to see the city and get an idea of its' history. It is also a very pleasant area to walk and there are plenty of restaurants, cafes and bars both in the harbour area and in the centre of town. Menorca has lovely beaches and because it is a relatively small island it is easy enough to reach anywhere from Mahon

Mahon is an interesting town with a large harbour and many individual shops. There is a wide range of cafes and restaurants. The streets are clean and the main town centre is pedestrianised so is very easy to get around.

A good base to discover the rest of the island, I think that buses can get you to a fare number of places but as frequent visitors we invariably have a car waiting at the airport. Mahon is full of character, steeped in history. Boat trips available round the huge harbour.

Mahon port is a must, lovely to walk around and there are 2 lifts to take you from the port to the old town.
We love art galleries and museums and met some wonderful people.
Not a place for children really, Better for children on the west side of the Island.
Some really good restaurants Tap Can, La Opera and especially Perla!
Excellent stay at the Capri establishment in Port Mahon. The rooms are very clean, spacious and soundproof. The Green Bar with its accessible drinks and snacks is a real plus when you return to the hotel after a good day. The hotel's eco-responsible policy is very much appreciated. We appreciated the friendliness and accessibility of the staff (Genevieve at reception is a treasure), and the events on offer (contemplation of the full moonrise with aperitif). We'll be back!
We had a great stay at Hotel Hevresac, the boutique hotel was quirky and cool and in the perfect spot for exploring Mahon. We had a room on the top floor which had a separate room for the kids which worked perfectly. Breakfast was delicious with local produce and so much choice. Ignasi was a wonderful and welcoming guest, we were able to use all facilities independently but he was there to help and provide recommendations whenever needed. We will definitely be back!
absolute heaven; breakfast on the terrace amidst a sea of bees and butterflies, and lavender; tortoise wandering in the gardens, the olive oil was amazing; the breakfast was different every day and Florenica there was absolutely lovely; the hotel owners were super helpful in planning and giving us recommendations across the whole of menorca; bed was huge and firm; pool was gorgeous; cannot fault the place and would go back again tomorrow!
The location is central to Mahon, above a few minutes walk to town, and a 7minute walk to the port. The Hotel was excellent in every manner from quality, to service, the rooms, design but most importantly the friendliness and warmth of the staff. They went above and beyond to make the place feel like home. Can Alberti is the "Come as strangers, leave as friends" kind of place.

Cleanliness
Quite silent although central
Staff helped me ensure silence when having to have an important video call in the cafeteria
Very cozy in general, hard to leave
I loved staying here. The place has a very homey feeling and has a wonderful pool for guests. The staff was great and as a Spanish speaker, I could chat quite a bit and learn more about life in Menorca on a more human level. We also got great local recommendations (including the best tapas bar we found on the island, es Casino in San Climent).
You will love this hotel if:
1) Location is important to you. There is a vibrancy in Mahon that can be felt at different times of the day.
2) You enjoy large rooms. Our room was number 11 and it was indeed very very large and charming.
3) You wish to click some instagram pics. Hotel has a bunch of charm and neatly decorated features.
We were only there one night on a last minute booking, as our boat wasn’t quite ready for use.
Really lovely hotel. Looked newly refurbished with quality fittings and decoration.
Excellent food in the restaurant with great views over Mahon harbour.
Nice pool area with comfortable sun beds.
Pleasant staff. Pool area and pool were exceptional. Location of property was good for local amenities and distance for Mahon port and sights. Main bus station about a 15 minute walk, buses there to connect to all parts of the island
The location was great, within walking distance from everywhere. Really close to the harbour. The staff were super friendly and responsive. It was a nice continental breakfast. The place was super clean and quiet too!
Amazing, kind, beyond helpful hosts. The hotel interior design is like kinda New York, but in Spain. The location is in a quiet street, but in the center. Beds are comfy, and the shampoo is freak'n amazing.
the staff is fantastic. They went above and beyond what was required. I recommend this hotel to every one who is staying in Mahon. I will be staying there next week again.
Amazing welcome & by all of the staff and a most wonderful stay. We loved it thank you so Much. We look forward to returning to your beautiful hotel in wonderful Mahon
Extremely pleasant staff, as well as a hotel concept with an aesthetic taste. This accommodation will certainly be a repeat choice during the next visit to Menorca.
Very modern hotel. Great facilities and great breakfast included. We particularly liked the complimentary snacks and soft drinks available just off the lobby.
