Really friendly and helpful hosts. She coped with our arriving early while dealing with other guests and cleaning the rooms. Went out of their way to make our stay a good one. Personal touches like these make a little hotel like this one a great place to stay.

We took a suite as we knew we would be tired after our journey and want to spend time relaxing. It was very spacious with a small private patio where we could sit out if we wanted to. The bathroom was super clean. The hotel itself was centrally located but not noisy: we could walk to wherever we wished. The breakfast was good with delicious freshly squeezed orange juice. The staff were friendly and helpful. We plan to stay again on our return trip.
Situated in the historical town of Cangas de Onis, the hotel is surrounded by beautiful, lush countryside and located 150 metres from the centre, along a riverside footpath

A really interesting area that was unexpectedly busy.
A really interesting area that was unexpectedly busy. This is a really popular spot for mainly Spanish tourism as far as I could tell.
The monastery was fantastic as were the lakes that really are worth the 9 euro bus ride to get to (the only way up aside from walking or cycling).

A cute tiny city with amazing views. 15-20 mins by bus to the famous Lagos de Covadonga (lakes). I recommend taking bus as the roads are narrow and might be difficult to drive. There are restaurants, hotels and free parking. Ideal for those who want to visit Lagos de Covadonga. Also, there is a breathtaking church in the mountains.

We didn't spend much time in the city and went straight to the lakes.
make sure to have at least 2 hours there!!! such an amazing view! the lakes themselves, the mountains and the animals (cows and sheep) walking around is just breathtaking.
Keep in mind that in peak seasons cars are not allowed to go up to the lakes, and honestly the trip is a bit scary, so you can take the bus or take a taxi with a few people. but take in mind that the taxis only stay there for about 45 minutes and then take you back down, which is just not enough time.

Unfortunately visited at a very busy time-major religious festival as well as still apparently school holidays.
The lakes are lovely,as is the surrounding scenery. The buses were good and frequent.
The area closest to the buses were quite busy but we were able to walk properly away from crowds.
It is one of the best hotels I've ever been. The location is very good to have trip to the lakes, the breakfast is exellent (hot meal, croissants, pies, cakes, cheese and meat, yogurts, fruits, good coffee). A nice place for rest after walking in the mountains. There are very comfortable beds in the room, a coffeemaker, a table and chairs. The stuff is friendly. Thanks a lot for a wonderful stay!
Bea brought us coffee, fruit, and pastries the night before as we were departing prior to breakfast. The location for historic Covadonga and the Lagos was superior. Quiet location that allowed for sleep post and pre hiking long days back to back in Picos. To that extent as well, amazing showers after long days on the trail and super comfortable bed.
Location is perfect for a visit to the Covadonga Lakes. Public parking was very convenient (small parking before and slightly parking available right after Casa Aspron). The house itself (including the rooms) is very cosy, characteristic, neat and comfortable. Breakfast was wonderful and definitely more than enough for us.
The hotel was great. It was clean and comfortable. It was top notch. The manager was helpful and very attentive. The breakfast was fantastic. The location was awesome for seeing the basilica and the lakes. The basilica was a 400 meter walking distance away. It is in the perfect location to take the bus to the lakes.
We had a great stay at Casa Aspron! Jorge provided us with a lot of information on the area. There was a relaxed and cosy atmosphere with a great view of the Covadonga basilica. Breakfast was very nice with freshly baked eggs, yoghurt, homemade cake etc. Definitely recommend!
The hotel has perfect location and a very nice old arhitecture look. All of the staff members are very friendly. We didn't try the breakfast in the restaurant because of the high price, but they have a cafeteria as well where you can have toast/sandwiches for a lower price.
Such nice, old-fashioned elegant hotel. Modern comfort and located just at the main site of the sanctuary and grotto of the Virgin. Typical, all-inclusive menu available (20€ in my stay) or a la carte. Very enjoyable, relaxing place. Free parking available on site.

Very lovely host and beautiful surroundings and nature walks. There is a river right behind the hotel and gorgeous walks within the forest.
The breakfast was fulfilling and affordable.
Pino & Jorge were very helpful and advised us of great places to go.
Small place in picturesque and convenient location. Friendly host, nice breakfast. The host helped us to park near the hotel as it was on Sunday and the parking was full. Bus stop for the lakes is less than 10 minutes walk. WiFi worked fine.
A lovely little hotel right at the base of the entrance to los lagos de Covadonga. Very nice restaurant and truly incredible staff that were very attentive and kind. We would recommend to anyone and return in a heartbeat!
Very friendly staff (really all of them!). Unique location next to the basilica. Good restaurant. Nice bar at the cafetaria. Spatious rooms. The charm and the high ceilings of a 100 year old hotel.
Very friendly staff; despite our lack of Spanish, we were made to feel at home. Great breakfast and fab location before our hike in the national park. Free parking opposite the hotel.
Our room was superb - very clean and comfortable with lovely bathroom products. The receptionist was so friendly and helped us immensely with our trip to the Covadonga lakes.
Location superb for visiting the stunning dramatic scenery..
Family run hotel with very friendly hosts.
Many very good restaurants within easy short driving distance.
