I blame you guys at booking more than the staff at hotel. You had a line in Select a room just under breakfast included that said $33 board for my room and half board on some of others. Discussed this with desk person and figured that meant I could use that at one of their 3 Restaurants. Of course, very unlike me I opted for the gourmet dining and when I went to desk in morning was told I owed them the money. After wasting precious time arguing (in a nice way) I end up paying and nobody knows what the hell it meant with the $33 or half board! I’d like to have sent booking the bill because I would not of had the fancy dinner except I thought it was included even though it was a good meal!
Housed in a mansion built in the 17th century, Parador de Cambados is a charming hotel located on the lush, green landscapes of the Rías Baixas on the Galician coastline.

The breakfast was a fantastic way to start the day, everything was delicious. We also had dinner at the hotel and it was superb. The staff was always nice & the location can’t be beat!

What can I say? This was one of the most pleasant surprises I’ve had in years while traveling and staying in different hotels. I’ve never been to such a good 1* hotel.
The quality-price range is unbelievable. You pay a truly fair amount and get absolute comfort, a quiet and well located place with McDonald’s, movie theaters and streets of stores and bars at a 500 meter distance.
The hotel area is quiet after 11pm or so, which provides a good night of sleep. The breakfast can be bought by 5€ and it’s totally worth it as there’s no chance one could eat and drink as much for that amount on any other place for a breakfast in the city.
The room wasn’t the smallest I’ve been, having even a small desk and pretty nice storage as required, and even the bathroom shocked me on how modern and stylish it was.
Gran Hotel La Toja is the only 5* spa hotel in Galicia. This historic hotel has a large garden, with an outdoor swimming pool and tennis courts and paddle courts.
This modern hotel is just 66 feet from the bridge connecting O Grove with the island of La Toja and very near the famous seafood restaurant, Marisqueria de'Berto. It features free WiFi.

The location is quite good. On the edge of the center. That means it's easy to walk to the action but it's very quiet at night. There is a small beach right across the street from the hotel. I didn't visit it but it looked to be a perfect spot to relax and it was never crowded since it's hard to see from the street.

Room was impeccably clean, felt brand new, and we could see the sea from our window, 2nd floor (top). Not too many rooms - maybe 10 per floor, 20 total - so the hotel feels very cozy and familiar. Good towels but "not that wide" bed (maybe 140x200cm?), TV has some apps like Netflix and YouTube, but had no connection to the internet, cannot cast to it from a smartphone.
The reataurant was lovely and the prices were fair (nearly all between 15-20€ pp), but they were out of barbecue during our stay, so some plates were either done on the grill or not available. Lots to choose from, we were given some seafood appetizers as courtesy. Great food and service overall.
Breakfast was great, there are no pictures on the menu but the descriptions are clear. All is done on request, not a self-service buffet.
