This is probably my best stay out of all stays of my pilgrimage. Very spacious accommodation, everything is clean and tidy with hypoallergenic bed materials. The staff on reception is friendly and welcoming. My accommodation also had a bathtub which is priceless for a pilgrim.

The property was easy to find, very clean, with incredibly helpful staff. I had my bags delivered, and when I checked in, they shared they had already delivered it to my room. Above and beyond!

Fabulous place. Breakfast included. High quality finishes. All the comforts of home and more. Bed, pillows, sheets, towels, all were great. Great lighting, mirrors, seating, and outlets. Lots of outdoor balconies. Private kitchen on each floor with snacks, tea, coffee, water, milk included. They haven’t missed a detail. By far the best place we stayed on the Camino in 22 days. Did I mention how immaculate the room and bathroom is? I can’t say enough about Wendy. Great service, nice breakfast, wonderful place to stay. If you need a rest day, take it here.

Instructions on check-in were clear. The Apartment is managed by a very nice hotel a short walk away. The apartment had the same vibe as the hotel. It was spotless (seemed new) and had the pleasant scent of a high end hotel.

The city is interesting, particularly in the old quarter around the cathedral and Gaudi building. There are several very good value hotels in the centre of the city and many restaurants which tend to be busy.

Astorga is a lovely town with plenty to see for a weekend stay. Main attraction is the Antonio Gaudi-designed Bishop's Palace (now a museum), a sort of Sleeping Beauty castle designed as a residence for the bishop of the cathedral next door. Secondly, the architecture and buildings all around town -- you can walk for hours and it's even large enough to get lost in, so bring your phone. The cathedral is sadly not very worthwhile -- drab, disorganized, you can go in but you won't stay long. Tip: Almost all shops are closed Sunday, except for the moust touristic, so do your shopping on Saturday.

The old town center was great--an example for the rest of the world! The whole town seemed to come out in the afternoons and evenings to eat, drink, socialize and people watch. It is a model of good urban design fostering community. All pedestrian of course! The people were very friendly to the peregrinos (like me) passing through on their way to Santiago.

Interesting old town with history, character and a great stop on The Camino de Santiago walk which has given a new lease of life to Astorga. The cuisine is another attraction and one hopes the improved economy will continue ... with its abnormally large cathedral and the Gaudi palace, charming town hall, plus the eccentric Paneiro poet family dwelling all add interest and
The staff went above and beyond what was expected. I had left some pills in my room and continued along the Camino DeSantiago. The staff managed to find me at my next hotel and returned the pills. My two friends and I had one floor to ourselves, and there was a sitting area, a kitchen, and a deck to the outside. The location is very good for a pilgrim of the Camino de Santiago.
I liked the friendliness of the staff. The hostal was clean and comfortable. I felt very safe there as a solo traveller. The menu was explained very well and I really enjoyed my dinner. There was a map left in my room of Astorga and it provided a wide range of information for me. I had a lovely stay at Hostal Residencia Delfin. Thank you.
Very large, well appointed apartment in the heart of Astorga. We stayed here during our Camino journey, as a bit of luxury on my birthday. It was spotlessly clean, beds were comfortable, and the kitchen was well stocked to make a meal. Only wish we could have stayed longer!
A definite 10/10.
One of the nicest and unique places I’ve stayed in. Exceptionally comfortable, tastefully furnished, access to tea and coffee making facilities. a beautiful boutique hotel, wonderful service and delicious breakfast. I wanted to stay longer.
Stayed in his beautiful centrally located apartment in Astorga.
Modern clean spacious and less than a 10 minute walk to the cathedral and the many plazas with plenty of bars/restaurants to choose from.
Also the owner was a pleasure to deal with.
Everything!! The bed was VERY comfortable. The space was plentiful and well decorated. The bathroom was equipped with a hairdryer and the breakfast was the MOST AMAZING I’ve had at ANY hotel, hostel, 5 start resort!! Seriously great breakfast!!
Check in was easy at the Hotel Via de la Plata, a short walk away where the staff all speak English. It was so luxurious to have all the extra space of an entire apartment, and the shower was wonderful.
The hotel is well located for exploring the old town. The room was very spacious and nicely presented. Parking in their garage was simple and good value. The breakfast was good with lots of choice.
Perfectly fine hotel, probably a little pricey for what it is. Very small shower/bathroom but room is fine. Quick check in. Short walk from the Camino and the other attractions of Astorga.
The apartment is modern, clean, spacious and well appointed! The bathrooms were large and very user-friendly. We found the apartment to be an oasis in Astorga.
The room was nice but being in a nice hotel we missed a bathtub, The spa was nice but expensive for only an hours use. The massage was exceptionally wonderful
Thank you for the wonderful stay. Perfect. Central, views, comfortable, wonderful staff. Photo is view from hotel window of Cathedral. (No bells at night)
Beautiful property! It would be easy to miss the warm comfortable living areas if you don’t explore. They remind you this is really a home, not a hotel.
