The only reason to stay here was to get an early bus to the Quilotoa loop. Walked round and there were zero attractions to visit. Even the churches were shut but that may have been due to the State of Emergency. Didn't eat out because I didn't see anywhere open I fancied eating in.

Though not much to do in the city, it's nevertheless a convenient stop for accessing all the nearby volcanoes and lakes. The city has a potential, it needs a bit of tourism infrastructure to encourage longer stay rather than a quick passing through.

We stayed for one night before doing the Quilotoa loop and two nights after. Marco took us for free to the bus station to go to Sigchos, up to Cotopaxi ($35/person) and to the bus station again to Quito for free.
