Sehr schönes, gemütliches Hotel mit freundliche Mitarbeiter
At the start of Bavaria’s scenic Romantic Road, Würzburg is an elegant city whose monuments stand testament to the power of the Church. On a green hill west of the city centre sits Marienberg Fortress, former seat of the ruling prince-bishops. It now houses the Mainfränkisches art museum and overlooks the statue-lined Old Bridge crossing the Main River below.
However, the subsequent home of the prince-bishops is what really steals the show. The opulence of the Würzburg Residence and its landscaped gardens have earned it a place on the UNESCO World Heritage list. The surrounding, U-shaped park extends all the way around the historic centre.
This park is the first thing you see upon leaving the train station, and nearby is the Röntgen memorial commemorating the physicist who discovered X-rays while teaching at Würzburg University, one of the oldest in the country.
Also one of Germany’s oldest is the Würzburger Stein vineyard outside the city. Some of the region’s signature Franken wine can be sampled in the cellar of historic Julius Spital hospital. Nearby is the Falkenhaus and the neighbouring Church of Our Lady borders the main square. The cathedral is much larger and has its own museum.
Booking.com’s Würzburg accommodation includes luxury spa hotels, guest houses with parking, and cheap hostels.
We had a lovely stay in Würzburg, although it was too short.
We had a lovely stay in Würzburg, although it was too short. The accommodation was very good and modern. Nice balcony and kitchen. We were also happy with having a washing machine in the accommodation. Would book again. Good communication with the owner.

Although it rained most of the time during our two day stay and it was very cold, we enjoyed a lot visiting the Residence and its garden, the old Main bridge (rather the Mainwein bar at the bridge where we were lucky to get the last free table) and the Rathskeller (Spargel dinner). Still many places remain to see in my next visit.

A lovely small city that feels friendly and charming.
A lovely small city that feels friendly and charming. We happened to be there for Flasching/Carnival, which was quite wild and involved a procession and people dressing up and perhaps a bit of drinking! The next day everything was clean and running normally apart from the occasional late night reveller dressed as a banana making his/her way home on the SBahn. The Residenz and the Castle were well worth the visit. as was the Cathedral/Dom and the old Bridge.

The city is fantastic - historically and vibrant, a lot of younger people everywhere although it was September. Especially in the evening the old bridge is crowded and it was very interesting to join the crowd. After a long sightseeing day this is a great end of the day. The restaurants are full and good food and wine are served everywhere. It is a must to stay in the hotel in the center so you can enjoy the evening walk. And what was a surprise: people are carrying their glasses of wine while walking arround, not only on the old bridge. The restaurants on the banks of the river are especially crowded and booking the table is needed.

We love Wurzburg and have been here many times.
We love Wurzburg and have been here many times. It is a university town and is busy but is still charming. The town is easily reached by long-distance train from Frankfurt Airport and is well connected to serve as a base for visiting other nearby towns as day trips. There are several hotels reasonably priced within a few minutes walk from the Hauptbahnhof. The Altstadt is within easy walking distance from the Hauptbahnhof, there are plenty of restaurants, great shopping, beautiful churches, the medieval fortress overlooking the city which is surrounded by vineyards, and of course the spectacular Residence (one of the most important baroque palaces in Europe). The city was pretty much destroyed by Allied bombing during WWII. The reconstruction is incredible. The locals are friendly and welcoming. The town is very scenic surrounded by vineyards and on the river. The local wine is excellent! We will return to Wurzburg again.
The hotel is very clean and tidy and the support via the telephone line was great and they could fulfil my early check-in request. However, as it is a "contactless" hotel, the soul and warmth of human contact is missing and the rooms are a bit sterile. I did not book breakfast, so cannot rate that and the personell in the morning. If you need a hotel close to the highway it's fine, to visit Würzburg you have a 15 minute drive to reach the center.
Stay was very peaceful, hosts were kind and the room was very clean and nice. Lots of privacy. Bathroom was quite modern and the bedroom and kitchen were comfortable to use. First night was a bit cold, since the heating was still heating up, but there were plenty of extra blankets that you could find in the closet and even an extra duvet! Definitely booking here again if we were to ever return to Würzburg!
The appartment is romantic and well decorated, from the books in shelf is indicated this appartment is very "deutsch". In kitchen all equipments are provided. Also children bed and children seat are provided.
Specially there is a folder which lists the useful information in Würzburg, not only about city, also some info about doctor, restaurant etc. And the history of that house is very interesting.
We most appreciated the courtesy and friendliness of the staff, particularly a gentleman named Abel Silva. He went out of his way to give us recommendations, directions, pleasantries, etc. We enjoyed both breakfast and dinner at AC Marriott. Parking was very convenient. On this trip, Marriott hotels stood out for all of the conveniences and comforts, and AC Marriott topped.
This hotel is a gem. Ideally located, and easily accessible to all Würzburg attractions. The interior design is fantastic. The hotel and room was spotless. The room was generously sized, and really comfortable. And an amazing shower. Our breakfast was delicious too. But mainly it was the staff, so helpful and friendly, went above and beyond to make our short stay memorable.
This is an exceptional value for price. A very nice, relatively new hotel that is located in the heart of reconstructed old town. Just 3 blocks from the Residence. Let me check in early. CNN! Bar and breakfast is available. AC. No old charm, but has chic hipness (black corridor ceilings and black door frames). Great value!
Amazing location with fabulous views over Würzburg. Ten minutes from the town on an e-bike. The hotel has garage facilities for storing and charging bikes. The restaurant is amazing, the food delicious. The breakfast buffet is one of the best we’ve experienced. The hotel is upmarket, so quite an expensive choice.
The hotel is in a area that you have transportation to go to the center of the city in 20 minutes.... The breakfast was amazing more than my expectation.... the room are a little small but enough to sleep in there.... The bathroom is too small ... but clean and updated.
Good location in city center. Parking was good tho limited with some spaces accessed by car elevator. Bathroom was a decent size and v.clean. The air-conditioning actually worked, first time in 3 weeks of hotels during a heat wave!
The staff were very friednly and helpful. the hotel is rightt opposite to the central station of Wurzburg, making it the most convenient for all kinds of transport.
The breakfast buffet was simple and tasty too.
Great location near the sights of Würzburg. The room was very clean. And a great price for a private room.
A warm welcome by the manager who showed us to our room and offered free water each day. Nice gesture.
I like the location of this hotel but actually several hotels in the same area. I booked this hotel mainly because they can provide infant bed for baby (by surcharge), otherwise, I would have more options.
Nice small apartment in a good location in Wurzburg. We knew in advance parking would be an issue so we parked in a car park very close to the apartment. The apartment was very clean and it felt safe.
The apartment is very spacious and clean, the bed is comfortable and even though it was very warm outside, the apartment was always fresh. The parking space in the middle of Würzburg was a huge plus.
Very good location - you’re in the heart of Wurzburg yet the hotel is hidden between buildings so it’s quiet and discreet. Breakfast was very good and served until late.
The location is just next to Würzburg, so parking was not an issue. There is a bus stop about 2mins away, you'll get into inner city in approx. 10mins that way.
