The location was phenomenal. The veranda out side the room had a good view, was sheltered from the sun and a pleasant place to sit. The Hotel is set amongst forest and almost on the beach. The wildlife comes to you. The swimming pool has seen better days but it’s in a very special location and the capuchin monkeys regularly visit to hang out with their family. The beach is totally amazing. Manuel Antonio is only a 10 minute jaunt along the beach. This hotel is an experience in itself. Well worth a visit.

A lovely little place! It looked bigger and more lush in the photos, but the room we stayed in matched the pics exactly: it was spacious, clean, and comfortable with everything we needed. The included breakfast was delicious. Most notably, the host who helped us (I wish I'd gotten her name!) provided fabulous service with a ready smile and lovely sense of humor!

Quepos is a good central location from which to do all manner of activities. I love the farmers market on Friday PM/Saturday AM. Scuba diving is just okay as the visibility even in the dry season is limited. Check out the farm tour at Villa Vanilla (they can pick up from Quepos if you don't have a car) and the bus to Manuel Antonio Park (worth the hype but buy your tickets online before you go) and all the attractions along the way is only 380 colones.

Quepos is a tourist trap, all designed around Manuel Antonio national park. The hard sell is tough bbbuuutt the beauty of the rainforest is amazing. A weekend in this tiny place is easily enough, I would not recommend staying longer.

We stayed outside of Quepos which I would recommend.
We stayed outside of Quepos which I would recommend. Quepos is an authentic town to shop and eat at. We loved walking around to explore and eat. We liked the market for the shopping and the coffee shop! We were able to walk around Quepos very easily and get back to the bus downtown no problem.

The city is not big, quite busy, there are a few restaurants (some crazy expensive) and shops. Manuel Antonio Park, on the other hand, is completely overrated. I haven't seen such a crowded place in all of Costa Rica! I am disappointed and angry that I had to travel such a long way to get to an uninteresting place. I do not recommend!

The last point of our trip.
The last point of our trip. So many great things we have seen. But at the end of this incredible nature, do you have to experience this greed for money along the road to the national park? No! Just keep stopping in this country and be amazed. Quepos is not a MUST.

Quepos is super crowded and to pricy for what it offers!
Quepos is super crowded and to pricy for what it offers! If you want to find some nice place nearby Quepos just have a short ride with a car and go south of Quepos to find some nice and lonely beaches!
- Amazing host. We were welcomed by Jorge with fresh fruits and a binder full of tips on what to do in the area. The beach hike is a hidden gem.
- Great common areas. Kitchen is well equipped and cozy. There is also a little Netflix / board games corner and a lounge area. All cleaned daily (but not the bedrooms themselves).
- Parking spot behind a gate in the garden.
- Located outside of Quepos. You’ll need a car / taxi to get around. No 4x4 required.
I absolutely loved this little gem in Quepos. It’s close to the bus station so you can quickly get to destinations between quepos and Manuel Antonio easily. My room was clean and the decor is minimalistic and cute. I loved the sitting area for the restaurant. the breakfast was really good as well. The staff was kind of dry but really helpful with any requests and questions that I had.
A great, peaceful retreat for oneself but with an added bonus of plenty of birds (toucans, hummingbirds, euphonias, etc.). If you are a bird enthusiast, I shall highly recommend. Great view of the mountains and sunrise.
Staff were particularly helpful with knowledge of birds but also accomodating to our requests and treated the accomodation as their home (unlike hotel chains).
This apartment is right by Manuel Antonio National Park and a short walk to the beach. Tons of restaurants and grocery stores right there as well. Saw monkeys from the balcony multiple days as well as on the walk to the beach. woke up to the sound of birds and howler monkeys. Gonzalo was super friendly and they cleaned the apartment every other day.
amazing and very nice staff ! very helpful and kind !
very lovely, clean, big and confortable room
I had room 20 and it was super quite !
very close to bus stop to the parc, sodas and a few minutes from the seaside of quepos
I saw 2 aras at 6h30 am in the tree right in front of the hotel ! PURA VIDA !
No meal included but hosts loaned us some dishes so we could have cereal in the mornings. We had a fridge. Very helpful and friendly family. Made some great recommendations for walks and restaurants. A little away from Quepos town center but I liked that. Still easy to walk everywhere.
Jorge and Pamela are amazing hosts! They were super attentive and kind. We felt right at home and it was a great place to stay with easy access to many things in and around Quepos. A convenient stay with good value and great people!
First place in Costa Rica where you have all the detailes set. Hair dryer, shampoo, shower gel, tea, cofee, sugar, all kitchen things, king size bed, tours information, everything. Soon AC will be instalted. Realy amazing place.
Really nice little place in the center of quepos, super clean and really nice big kitchen area. The pool is great and the whole hostel has a good vibe! The staff were also really helpful when we had questions and requests!
Location. Greenery around the accommodation. Swimming Pool. Room and Shower. Trails and activities around. It was an awesome experience just to walk around the property. Beautiful showcase of what Costa Rica is all about.
It was in a unique location, overlooking the jungle. The owners were very friendly and helpful. The pool was clean and private. Close to the chocolate tour and far away from the hustle and bustle of Quepos.
We spend a wonderful time in Santa Juana Lodge, the spot is amazing, the Staff great!.
We did the two Santa Juana tours .
The birds watching was private and the best we’have done so far in Costa Rica.
We loved the views, the decks with awesome rocking chairs, the wonderful staff, toucans and Jesus Christ lizards, authentic traditional Costa Rican meals! Santa Juana was wonderful!
Willy & Olga are excellent hosts. This was a repeat visit with them & Quepos. Enjoy their hospitality. Their location is a very convenient walk to everything in Quepos.
Convenient location for activities in Quepos and Manuel Antonio. Good air conditioning, pool, washer/dryer, dishwasher. Views from the home were awesome. Priced well.
The view was amazing. It overlooks the marina and you have an excellent sunset view of Quepos. Beautiful. Rey is one of the most accommodating host i have met.
