I was a one night only stayover . I was very impressed. The couple who own the motel were just lovely. Even had a bit of a swim with them.
I had a Queen room.
X1 queen bed
X1 single bed &
A pull out sofa bed. Very impressed. Now while it's not the Savoy. For the price. it was well worth it.

Well I think I got upgraded to the king suite. But it was very good. Spacious. Comfy furniture & bed. Excellent pub food at the bottom of the stairs.

Elvis festival is a must! Nothing but joy, happiness, all around! All guest were so happy participating in the Elvis festival! Music everywhere. Need more vegetarian food. Too much SOS. Salt, oil, sugar in food! Make it healthier. Only Baked potato was healthy choice.

There's lots to do in and around Parkes.
There's lots to do in and around Parkes. Great places to visit are Peak Hill mine, CSIRO - Parkes Observatory (The Dish), Marcelle's Patchwork Cottage, good pub food in most hotels, Bella's restaurant, Roasted Kombi cafe, Elvis festival in January and all things Elvis at other times.

I am very biased about Parkes.
I am very biased about Parkes. I was born there and attended school there. I enjoyed the childhood memories I experienced but also how much it has advanced over the years. It seems to me that there must be a good council in action.

Parkes is definitely worth a quick stop over to see the Dish...
Parkes is definitely worth a quick stop over to see the Dish and the town like all rural NSW towns is perfectly pleasant, but its not really a "destination in its own right" - its somewhere to go if you are in the area - like a day trip from Bathurst/Mudgee/wine country

Parkes is a lovely country town.
Parkes is a lovely country town. If you like to walk around, it's nice and flat, with a couple of hills if you want to get the heart rate up.
Plenty of places to eat and plenty of shopping (if that's your thing).
Could have easily spent a week at Parkes.

Parkes is a great stopover on the Newell Highway.
Parkes is a great stopover on the Newell Highway. Great dining options, plenty of shopping outlets and lots of attractions close by if you stay a few days. And if you love Elvis, you will love Parkes!!!
Very centrally located but quiet even though fully booked. A bit of noise early morning from adjacent rooms. Not disturbing though. The desk host gave us some good information about the Parkes main streets and venues. We went to the pub for a drink before using the in room kitchen facilities to heat our dinner which we had packed in our fridge for the journey through Parkes and beyond. Thanks for a quiet stay and a clean, comfortable room.
The location was good and quiet for sleeping. It would have been helpful to have a dog lead tether inside the cabin and also outside to ensure that my dogs could be tethered inside and outside safely. And it would be good to have a grassed area to take the dogs to do their business. It would also be helpful for dog waste bags to be supplied to make it easier to take care of the dog waste when at a pet friendly accommodation.
We were running behind schedule and not sure we were going to reach the accommodation before the end of check in. I called the property and the fellow who answered my call was reassuring with his nothing is a bother attitude. He arranged for the key to be available and had milk in the fridge for coffee. We arrived at midnight and we're able to walk straight into the room. Much appreciated.
This was one of the best hotel rooms I've stayed in in this price range; it was nice and spacious and had everything you could need in a room like this - including a nifty little kitchen sink in the corner. I especially liked the comfortable couch and the little dining table - it was quite a big room and I'd stay here again no issue. I was impressed with the big balcony as well!
It’s clean, it’s comfy and what we loved the
most was the lovely staff named Kara. She was
lovely, she sms and called us a few times because
we arrived late. She even turned on the heater
for us so after our long drive from Gold coast we
arrived to a lovely warm room. Both my kids
found the motel ‘cute’. That was a nice stay, highly
recommended place to stay at Parkes.
Krista was very nice and pro-active in letting me know how to find my room (the pub was closed on a Monday but the motel part was open). The bed was comfortable and the room was very nice for a cheap price (it also included a tap and sink which was very handy). It was also very easy to find (close to Parkes station).
The manager was outstanding. So friendly & welcoming. The room was superb. The king bed was exceptionally comfortable & the room was warm & nicely lit on our evening arrival. Also, were directed by the manager to a wonderful Parkes' hotel for dinner & his recommendation was spot on.
Was a nice, clean room. Spacious and had all you'd expect from a hotel room. Happy to stay again when in Parkes. 5 minute walk from the centre of town. Is pet friendly accommodation, so if you're taking them with you, consider bringing them here.
The location and cleanliness of the property. I also liked the size of the room, complimentary water and ease to park. The hotel manager is also very friendly and the contactless check-in and checkout was very convenient.
My room was well presented, clean and quiet, and only 30 steps to the hotel where I enjoyed a cold beer and steak night which was very well priced, the locals were friendly and the staff were very welcoming.
It is excellently located on the way out of town, very friendly atmosphere. An excellent motel. The labrador was friendly and a reall winner. The room was comfortable and spacious.
A clean, country hotel with parking available outside the room and good bathroom and basic kitchen facilities. The free internet was reliable and suitable for streaming services.
The location is great. Within walking distance of the main street in Parkes and the parking at the Motel is excellent. We had a room on the ground floor, very good..
A great place to stay. Staff were very helpful and friendly. The service was exceptional.
Cabin was clean and comfortable with everything we needed.
Thanks again
