Really pretty on top of a hill, amazing views, great for the dog, quiet and calm. The crew was also lovely, very nice, caring and it’s a GREAT hotel if you travel with your dog
Just 50 metres from Admont Abbey, Hotel die Traube is located in the centre of Admont. Dating from 1537, it was the first building on the town’s main square.

Kathrin was a lovely host to us. Even though we had a delay with our arrival time, she waited for us with a smile and made us feel very welcome. The rooms were excellent and we have nothing but good things to say about our stay.

Admont is a beautiful tranquil town in Styria, Austria.
Admont is a beautiful tranquil town in Styria, Austria. It’s best known for its picturesque Benedictine Abbey and its opulent baroque library. The town is an excellent starting point for all nature and hiking lovers. In the vicinity of the town is a beautiful castle – Röthelstein with views on the town and abbey. Also the Gesäuse National Park is near the town.
The place was so bright and clean it was refreshing and relaxing to be there. The breakfast cost extra but was really amazing. A separate basket with a full früstuck made of local and homemade ingredients. I made a sandwich for lunch every day. There was a brief and nifty guide to the hotel and area. I mostly liked but it needed more information. Loved the old photos of Austrian workers. Location was good. Right next to the bus stop.
The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was excellent and extensive and staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room, in one of the round towers, was large with many windows to spectacular views of the countryside below and mountains beyond. The bathroom and room were very clean. The hot water took some time to come through. Would definitely recommend just on the scenic location and being able to stay in a castle!
The owners are very nice. The invited me after arrival for an "Steiermark Brunch". It seems there are a lot of Austrians who spend there vacation in Villa Elisabeth since years. Others use Villa Elisabeth as a start and stop for an longer hike. The monastery is really important in Admont.
I think this is the best accommodation in Austria so far, everything was perfect, the house has a cozy, homie traditional feeling, the breakfast was regional and delocious. We were really impressed by the hospitality and modernity of the place. I wish some other places were like this one.
Very nice and friendly host but seems like not enough staff such that the host is busy all the time (unless he is a superman). Good location (right next to Stiftsbibliothek Admont). A supermarket nearby. Free parking (in front of the hotel).
This hotel is a renovated castle and it is simply cool. There is a small medieval chapel, and a medieval grilling room which really enhances the hotel's atmosphere. The onsite cafe which overlooks the valley has spectacular view.
Very beautiful villa, especially well done interiors. Nice warm and comfortable intimate place. Matches so well with the beautiful and picturesque town of Admont! Staff was also super warm courteous and cooperative.
Mini apartment is cosy accomodation for a couple. It is in Admont center near excelent pastry shop and grocery shops at hand. It is good spot for various activities in Gesause.
Breakfast was okay.
We were visitng in the winter months, but the room and the dining room were nice and warm. Loved the view of Admont from our room. The room was clean.
Nice hotel at a good price. Restaurant inside. Price/quality excellent. Very quiet (maybe as there were few other guests), so very relaxing evening in the restaurant.
