This capsule hotel felt like a spa. I stayed with my husband but we were on different floors due to the sexes being separated. So I speak from the women's floor. There are so many amenities and facilties you can use to make your stay more enjoyable! From washing machines to full on vanity mirrors etc. The bed was comfy and I wasn't disturbed by others once

Looking for a capsule hotel?

Developed in Japan, these cheap “pod” hotels are a novelty for any traveler. With rows of small single bed enclosed capsules, accommodations are basic and intended to be overnight. There's separate storage for luggage and gender-separate communal bathrooms. Some capsule hotels also have a sentō – a Japanese bath house, usually for male guests only.

What can I say? The staff was so friendly right from the point we checked in. They always carried a smile and greeted us all the time. The beds were also so so comfortable! We loved the Japanese style. There's also a Family Mart downstairs which makes it very convenient for us.

    - Location was convenient enough. 5 mins walk from Daikokuchou station and 10 minutes ish from Namba station. There is a FamilyMart right next door. - Staff are friendly and helpful. Room cleaning was done with high quality - Room is spacious considering Japanese standard. Good value for the bucks in that sense - Traveller friendly. We used their coin laundry and borrowed a plug converter from the front desk. - My room has a balcony if anyone cares.

Hotel Atarayo was one of the best hostels I have had the pleasure of staying at. The place was very clean, comfortable and well-lit. The pods were spacious, bigger than usual capsule hotel pod sizes. Lockers were available for luggage and clothes storage. I liked that they had changing rooms for privacy, which also served as a prayer space for me. They also had a big bathroom with bathtub for those who needed to soak after a long day of traveling. Staffs were friendly and helpful.

As a solo traveler mainly sleeping in capsule hotels during my trip in Japan until now, this was a breath of fresh air. It was fairly cheap and the room had everything you need for a 3 night stay. Even a small kitchen! Well, everything except cleaning, but for me, 3 nights without cleaning the room is pretty standard. I belive they clean it if you book for 4 nights minimum, but I'm not sure. Righ next to dotonbori, the location is flawless if you want to try the restaurants and nightlife.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The facilities you need are all there, onsen, ice maker, and vending machine. There is also a convenient store right below the hotel. There are also complimentary drinks, which was really good after a bit of walk. The stay was really nice, and the room we got was super cute! The shower was great, very powerful, and options for shower gel and shampoo, if you should need options.

A very faithful to the Japanese original capsule hotel concept establishment. Communal bath, with onsen and sauna facilities to boot. Basic amenities are provided generously, and some additional efforts are made to further convenient the guests with vending machines readily accessible by just tapping with the wristbands provided and put onto your tab which you would need to settle prior to checking out.
