The accommodation is amazing, the food is gorgeous. Everyone should visit this special place at least once🥰

Basecamp - Yala features mountain views, free WiFi and free private parking, located in Yala, 15 km from Situlpawwa. 22 km from Tissa Wewa and 47 km from Bundala Bird Sanctuary, the property provides a garden and a bar. The campground has family rooms. First ask yourself what is the reason you want to be here - if you are here for the nature alone, Nilantha is the best person you can stay with and who you SHOULD take as a guide with you to the safari. He has a degree in biology , fluent English and knows so much about the local fauna and flora so a full day safari doesn’t get boring (which I can imagine can if you only take a driver with you). He is a true believer in ecotourism and is giving back to local communities. If you are here for a fancy dinner and facilities, go somewhere else. This is a simple stay in the jungle. And one more thing to add - your guide is not responsible for how many animals you’ll see BUT we were lucky and he for sure knows some spots where they MIGHT appear. And last but not least- Nilantha is a great and nice person we had a chance to meet :)

There is a seating and a dining area in all units. Kulu Safaris is a completely exceptional place to stay in every way and it was the highlight of our holiday in Sri Lanka. The staff are so friendly and go out of their way to make your stay memorable. Our guide, Jeana, was very knowledgeable about Sri Lankan wildlife and a lovely person, we learnt a lot from talking to her on our safaris. We also went kayaking on the lake which was beautiful. The tents are so comfortable to stay in and it's a very peaceful location, surrounded by nature. Everything we ate was absolutely delicious and we were served our meals in different locations around the site, which was beautiful and very romantic. It is expensive, but the safari and other activities is included, as well as all food and drink, and so I think it is definitely worth the money, particularly as Kulu is very eco-conscious and ensures minimal disruption to the wildlife. Overall, I couldn't recommend staying at Kulu more highly, and I hope to go back one day.

We loved everything about our stay! The warm welcome, our beautiful room with a plunge pool that the kids enjoyed very much, the incredible service and attention to detail, the kindness of the staff, the best food we had in Sri Lanka, extraordinary safaris and last but not least our incredible guide Danu, thank you for spoiling us and sharing your passion for your country, nature and wildlife.

Family tents are provided based on requirement. All tents are fitted with comfortable beds, mattresses and pillows. Free drinking water will be provided. All bathrooms are equipped with a Hot & Cold shower. The service was incredible. They helped us really from pickup till check out. The food was fine and the location was so awesome that it gave us the ultimate camping experience.

Mahoora - Yala by Eco Team- Level 1 Safe & Secure provides tented accommodations in a wilderness setting at the border of Yala National Park, the 2nd largest national park in Sri Lanka. Our tent far exceeded our dreams, and the team takes the best care of you!

The air-conditioned campground consists of 1 separate bedroom, 1 bathroom with a hair dryer, and a seating area. Towels and bed linen are offered in the campground. The property has an outdoor dining area. Really enjoyed my stay. Very friendly and warmhearted host family. Can definitely recommend.
