Located 5-km away from the village of Dana, Al-Nawatef ECO camp- Dana Nature Reserve is an eco-friendly camp that offers guests a traditional Bedouin experience. It arranges hiking and walking trips upon request. After reading other reviews, I recommend reading in advance what exactly you are booking. It's not a 5* hotel, but an eco camp. I had booked a simple room with a shared bathroom and that's exactly what I got. Common sense should tell you that cold showers can be unpleasant in cold weather and that hot water is not always available in an eco camp in this location. Because I read it several times: if you don't have a towel in your room, you can just ask for one 😉 .That's great and easy because you get one straight away 🙂 (or for anything else they will also go above and beyond to help you). In any case, I got what I booked... and also breathtaking scenery, the warmest all-round service from all the staff ❤️, cats without end, great local fresh food...and if I hadn't already awarded 10 points for that, then also for the free upgrade after the first night to a room with its own bathroom, hot shower and unobstructed view. Thanks to Hamid (the first person from Jemen I got to know 🙂) and his team for some magical days.

This camp was one of the most memorable places I’ve been in Jordan. The scenery was absolutely breathtaking, the staff couldn’t have been any more accommodating and hospitable, the food was fresh and delicious, the tent was extremely clean and cozy, and our stay was overall spectacular. Highly recommended!!

The rooms at Ammarin Bedouin Camp are decorated with simple furnishings and a shared bathroom. It is fitted with mattresses, pillows and blankets. We were so very warmy welcomed. I would like to thank Marcella separately! We had a great company staying at the camp, we were invited to join for the tea at the fireplace as soon we came. The food was great and I was especially thankful how wholesome the selection was. The camp is in the middle of these huge rock formations - which is an amazing pick. We have only best of memories staying with you. Everything was neat, clean and beautifully decorated. I highly recommend staying here!

The camp is owned by a group of local farmers and the local community cooperative (The Dana Cooperative). Profits go back to the local community. great staff beautiful location

At the campground, units are equipped with a outdoor furniture. With a private bathroom equipped with a walk-in shower and slippers, units at the campground also offer free WiFi, while some rooms are equipped with a terrace. At the campground, each unit is equipped with bed linen and towels.

Sightseeing tours are available nearby. With an outdoor fireplace and a picnic area, this campground offers ample opportunities to relax. Spacious and comfortable room, amazing view of the valley from the dining area, delicious breakfast and a very friendly owner. Definitely recommend.

The Bedouin Camp offers private tents with carpeted floors and wrought-iron beds. The camp has separate shower and toilet facilities for men and women, with hot water for showers.

Breakfast and Dinner is served in the Resaturant. In the evening guests can sit around the campfire and enjoy the glow of lanterns on the rocks in the desert moonlight, or drink tea in the traditional beit shaar tents. The staff is so nice!! I had problems and they helped me and took care of me. The place is very peaceful and not too far from the main attractions (about 10 mins away from Petra). At night, the place becomes all lit up and it’s so beautiful. Some bedouins play music outside. They offer diner for 10 JD and the food is delicious. The rooms are cozy and clean! There are mountains nearby to watch the sunset.

The area is popular for cycling, and car hire is available at the campground. The campground has a picnic area where you can spend a day out in the open.
