Great little place to stay. Staff were amazingly helpful. Dinner at the cafe was super tasty. Kitchen facilities were very well presented and had a good range of equipment. Showers were shared and open plan without curtains, so if you're not European, Nordic or comfortable showering in front of others then you will need to choose your time to shower. Alternatively you can ask about the holy shower. Northern light hunting is easy with a short walk up the hill behind the campsite. The trolls were a great theme to explore as well.

We were really mesmerized by the view. The rooms were very clean and the atmosphere inside was pleasant. We were positively shocked by the kitchen's equipment. Overall, we only stayed there for one night and if we could we would stay there for a week:)

The pods were really nice and warm. We got the linen package (which is a bit expensive) but overall nice. The kitchen was also fully equipped. The camp site is nice and has a beautiful view and waterfall.

Another type of accommodation in barrels/pods, which offers more camping comfort but is less expensive than a classic hotel room. The campsite also offers hot tubs for all guests to use and a "troll path" to explore. Recommended.

The reception is a very nice little restaurant, right next to this beautiful waterfall. The check-in process is smooth and easy. The staff were friendly. The camping pods are small but cozy. The facility is fairly well-maintained and clean.

Kitchens were clean and reasonably well equipped (lacking a few mugs), with plenty of fridge space and room to eat inside if the weather wasn’t good. Hot tubs were a great addition too. Camping pods were cosy and beds were comfortable. We ordered the linen package and the linen was clean with decent towels. We also had dinner at the restaurant and the buffet breakfast, both of which were excellent.

Great cottage to have the middle-of-nowhere experience but also close to other cottages. Very clean and cozy. Good location and close to Reykjavik, Akranes.

i loved the little camping pod! it was perfect for that “glamping” feel. comfortable, private, and affordable. I did like the little touches that the owner has done to incorporate troll culture into the facility. I’m looking forward to reading one of his books :)
