Situated within the Amakhala Game Reserve, Safari Lodge - Amakhala Game Reserve is a thatched lodge offering an outdoor swimming pool, garden and sun terrace. The Port Elizabeth Airport is 88 km away.... Everything was perfect. The staff was super friendly and helpful. Our Ranger, Mnoni, was incredible: willing to go the extra mile, knowledgable & humorous. The room was incredible, always cleaned to perfection. The food was simple but delicious. The setup was just wonderful!

Located in the heart of the Amakhala Game Reserve, Woodbury Tented Camp offers an authentic outdoor experience in safari tents. The camp overlooks the ancient floodplain of the Bushmans River. Gorgeous tented camp set in a lush area, lovely main building with excellent meals served by friendly, attentive staff, tents set off individually for privacy, each with a sweeping view of the preserve. Our guide, Lenny, was very experienced and we learned much about the many animals we saw - lion, cheetah, elephant, rhino, giraffe, many kinds of antelope, warthog, more! We did 6 3 -hour drives; suggest booking enough time to do at least 4-6.

Situated in the Amakala Big Five Game Reserve, Bush Lodge offers an intimate lodge experience. It features an outdoor swimming pool, viewing deck and a number of game drives and bush walks. Everything, amazing lodge, rooms. The food was fantastic, the staff were wonderful, the safari was wow !! I saw all the animals. Had to pinch myself....they made me a beautiful cake for my birthday 🎂 Highly recommended 👌

Offering an intimate Big 5 safari experience, Quatermain's 1920's Safari Camp features a boma bonfire and BBQ facilities. It is located in the Amakhala Game Reserve. A picture perfect camp on a fantastic game reserve. The camp was exactly as sold which is exactly what we wanted - rustic but homely and comfortable. You get multiple chances for drinks (alcoholic and non) and 3 meals a day which are very tasty. From start to finish we were made to feel welcome by the whole team who clearly love their jobs and are very passionate about conservation and all things nature. Our guides Lungi and Yohan were both incredibly knowledgable and friendly. Riaan’s bush walk was a particular highlight - what this man doesn’t know, isn’t worth knowing! We have all done safari before in different parts of Africa but all agreed this was the best experience we’ve ever had and will definitely look at coming back in the future.

Gorah Elephant Camp is situated in the malaria-free Addo Elephant National Park. It features a spacious swimming pool and an open patio offering views of the water hole. Free Wi-Fi is available. We had an amazing stay in Gorah. Everything was perfect: the game drives, the lodge and the tents, the staff, the food, the care for the details. The only pity is we stayed only one night.

Featuring air-conditioned accommodation with a private pool, Stargazing Dome - Thunzi Bush Lodge is set in Beachview. The staff were lovely and friendly. The setting was stunning, the dome itself was gorgeous. We loved every minute and wished we’d booked an extra night.

Located in Stormsrivier, The Stargazing Cube - Misty Mountain Reserve features accommodation with a private pool, a patio and sea views. A hot tub is available for guests. Our stay at Misty Mountain was incredible!! We stayed in the stargazing cube and were in heaven! Watching the stars as we lay in bed was beyond amazing! The staff are incredible and the food is delicious! We were made to feel extra special from the moment we arrived. It is pricey but worth every penny! We felt like royalty! Thank you!

Witmos Oxwagoncamp is located in Somerset East and offers a garden, a terrace and a shared lounge. This luxury tent provides free private parking and a shared kitchen. Unique and amazing experience nestled in a beautiful setting. We will be back !

Boasting sea views, The Tsitsikamma Pyramid offers accommodation with a bar and a patio, around 37 km from Bloukrans Bridge. This luxury tent has a private pool, a garden and free private parking. Everything was just perfect We enjoyed it so much. It is a must when visiting Tsitsikama

Located in Thornham and only 27 km from Bloukrans Bridge, The Dome - Misty Mountain Reserve provides accommodation with sea views, free WiFi and free private parking. Location. Location. Location. We have never stayed in a more idyllic place. The dome is a fully kitted out ecolodge with some of the most amazing views of the sea during the day, sunset at dusk and then the stars at night. It is so private you cannot hear anything apart from the sound of the sea crashing and the wildlife in the trees. It has an AC unit so despite being a glass dome doesn't get too hot. It has a smart TV that comes out from the end of the bed, so you can snuggle up at night and watch a movie. It has a BBQ and picnic Braai hampers are provided on request so you can BBQ whilst watching the sun go down. We didn't use the hot tub because it was too warm but could imagine this would be lovely in the cooler months.
