The accommodation has a spa bath and a hot tub. The luxury tent features parking on-site, a hot tub and a 24-hour front desk. Priya and his team couldn’t do enough for us and was so attentive with utmost understanding and kindness to our 22month old daughter. The food was fine dining at its best and kept making the chicken soup my daughter couldn’t get enough of. Priya’s knowledge of the wildlife in the park was great and again focusing on wildlife our daughter could see.
Wilpattu
Located on the border of Wilpattu National Park, Big Game - Wilpattu by Eco Team offers spacious tents with an attached partitioned bathroom. Surrounded by wildlife and nature, the camp-site is 7 km from the park’s entrance and just 500 metres from the park's boundary. Awesome hospitality. Great location. Go for Mahoora preferably as it is more spacious than the Big Game. Day time is warmer but the night is really cozy. Thusitha is great host - very humble, prompt and accommodating.

It was really fun and lovely to be staying in a treehouse and being able to listen to and see the wildlife from our balcony. The hotel was also located right next to the national park which was very convenient. The food was also very tasty and the bed had a good mosquito net.
Nice quest house in a quiet location. The bed is with a mosquito net so you can leave your window open overnight. Free water + fridge. Little kitchen with plates and cutlery. You can sit in the little garden under the trees. Close to the harbour where you can watch the sunset. Good value for money. Nearby is a good restaurant called Elite, huge portions for a good price.
The evening dinner was a great experience under the stars with excellent waiters serving a nice dinner . Seeing the Wildlife on safari was a great experience and the wide range of birds , butterflies and some rare animals like the Loris. We also enjoyed the traditional cookery demonstration. Camping was much more comfortable than usual and we didn’t have any issues with mosquitoes. Organisation was great and catered well for vegans in our family.
The location was perfect. Wildlife surrounds you. We seen most the wildlife from our balcony, we didn’t really need a ticket to the safari haha
A truly Sri Lanka experience with the right comfort. The host is great and speak good English. They rent bike and scooter. The room as private bathroom, mosquito net a window and a fan and it is nice. You have also a kitchen to use, water to drink and a patio to relax with big trees and a hammock. From there you can walk to town or to lagoon with fisherman with a great sunsey . I use it as a home base to go kitesurf and for me was a better experience then a kitesurf resort
Great location when visiting Wilpattu NP for safari. Owners where super friendly! Food, both breakfast and dinner, where home cooked and diverse. Bed was comfy, musquito net and ac in the room. The guesthouse is close to the Wilpattu entrance and easy to reach by road. Don't be surprised to see an elephant walking past the guesthouse. There is a lake near the place where you can walk and watch some wildlife as well. Owner has his own jeep and can arrange safaris for a fair price.
Great staff and very well organised safaris - bird life round camp excellent and Wilpattu nearby. Food excellent almost too many courses. Senior Naturalist guide was excellent - very experienced and knowledgeable on birds and wildlife both around camp and in Wilpattu
We had me of the best sleeps there during our whole stay in Sri Lanka! They have really comfy glamping tents and huge outdoor bathrooms. The safari was THE BEST and one of the biologists who runs the lodge accompanied us and told us so much about the wildlife.
Comfortable glamping tents in beautiful surroundings close to Wilpattu National Park. We booked a package with a half-day safari and dinner and were not disappointed. We spotted a leopard and a bear, but that takes some luck as the vegetation is quite dense. We were upgraded to luxury tents as we were the only guests.
We extended our stay for another week because it's very relaxing and peaceful. The view out across the lagoon from bed is magical. Kayaking during sunset and dolphin tour were both really fun and chilling by the pool or hammocks was perfect. Food was delicious made by Fatima and the hotel manager helped us in every way he could. Overall, I am very satisfied I booked during low season (October). 4g dialog worked well for video work meetings. Great spot for digi nomads!
