The owners of the B and B went out of their way to make us feel comfortable. They gladly offered the use of the snorkels,googles and umbrella for beach days. They also gave us headlamps and binoculars to view the lava at night. We felt so incredibly welcome. The breakfasts made by Ping were delicious! Stelley and Max were so helpful. The area is incredibly peaceful and you only hear the sounds of nature. We were offered to help ourselves to the amazing fruit growing in Pings enormous garden.

Volcano Eco Cabin Retreat is a chalet situated in Volcano, 16 km from Kilauea and 9.6 km from Volcano National Park's entrance. The lodge was cute. Great for relaxing getaway. We really appreciated the attention to detail for making staying there comfortable and easy. Checkin was particularly easy.

Offering a sun terrace and views of the sea, Hawaiian Ohana Home is situated in Hilo in the The Big Island Region, 2.9 km from Pana'ewa Rainforest Zoo. Free private parking is available on site. Located near everything, especially my local family. Quiet, comfortable, clean, and very reasonable price. The host, Diana and her niece Michelle were very welcoming and they offered home-grown, fresh fruits everytime.

Set within a tropical rainforest, this self-catering accommodation is located in the town of Volcano on Big Island, Hawaii. Alii Kane Cottages is a gem in the jungle. The place is really nice and staying there highly recommended. We especially liked the BBQ in front of the apartment.

Located 12.5 miles from Ahalanui Park in Pahoa, Hawaii, this bed and breakfast offers garden views and a free continental breakfast complete with homemade bread and jam. A full breakfast is $15. It was a great experience. The hotel is less then one hour far from the volcano national park and 20 min from Hilo. It's located in the forest and Irene is a great host. She gave us a lot of info, shared her experience in the island and helped giving us some rain jackets that we forgot. She is really adorable and I can only recommend to visit this place especially if u need to disconnect from your daily life. She even showed us her ukulele collection and prepared for us the fruit from her garden.
