Wow what a place to stay. The facility itself is impressive but the views even more impressive. The big challenge is getting there. A bit out of downtown Lamego and not easy to find even using Google maps. Missed the turn off three times - better signage would definitely help. Long winding road to get up to the facility so driving to get there late at night - need to be careful

Original Douro Hotel ligger i Peso da Régua, 4 minuters promenad från Douro Museum, och har en terrass, bar och utsikt över staden. The location was convenient, it was really close to the railway station. The bed was really comfortable for sleeping. The quality of the breakfast was amazing. The door handle was broken when i was in the room, but the staff fixed it once they got informed.

He seems to have a special worldview. His place looks like a piece of heaven, he welcomed us with open arms, gave us recommendations around the village, allowed us to use all the facilities - unlimited pool, kitchen and public living room, check out until 2pm with an elaborate breakfast. He suggested us to stay even after checking out to use these facilities. The environment gives quality time with nature, we rested and enjoyed. Only one minor thing-the road to the place includes sharp descents with narrow road-alleys that only good drivers can manage. Thank you for the time in Paradise Nuno. We will definitely come back to stay.
