On a return trip I'll book well in advance to ensure a room. The owners owned a restaurant which they had to close due to the lockdowns but the are both experts in the kitchen so I'll make sure to book a supper next time.

I just wanted to take a moment to compliment Bel Tramonto guesthouse in Bloemfontein. I had a wonderful stay there recently, and I found the guesthouse to be beautiful and the owner to be extremely accommodating. The guesthouse is located outside of the city in a quiet area, which was perfect for us. It was also very family-friendly, which was important to us as we were traveling with our young children. The rooms were clean, spacious and comfortable, we had a wonderful stay at Bel Tramonto guesthouse, and we would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a beautiful, family-friendly place to stay in Bloemfontein.

We were even treated to a delicious takeaway breakfast for our 5am departure on the last night.

They nail all the fine points. Doesn't get better than this anywhere near this price point. Amazingly gracious hosts who, learning of my history studies, helped me identify local sites of interest.
