The rural location was ideal for us as we wanted to be 'Far from the Maddening Crowd'. The food provided for the self-serve breakfast was generous and top notch. I do not lightly give a score of 10... have done this possibly only thrice out of many tens of reviews I have submitted. Keep it up Jane!

Featuring both rural and garden views, McIvor Lodge is situated in a tranquil country setting, on a small deer farm, just 10 minutes' drive from the centre of Invercargill. Free WiFi is included. It was a beautiful location in the south of South Island NZ. We felt welcome and had a wonderful visit, both when we arrived around 4:40 and in the morning at breakfast. We enjoyed a delicious hot breakfast and informative information at breakfast. I would highly recommend this B&B
