It's a really cozy and warm place, really worth the drive. Would definitely stay there again. The check-in was very smooth. The rooms are comfortable, very good duvets. Bed linen and towels are included in the price. The shared kitchen is very well equipped, shared bathrooms are nice and well planned. In general, if you like peace and quiet, I recommend staying a few days. It's a perfect place to take a break from intensive travelling. The views around are amazing and there are beautiful forests nearby (there are berries, if you arrive at the right time). However, make sure to have enough food with you as otherwise you will have to drive to the nearest town. Neither of the roads leading to Finnvikhaugen Rooms are perfect, but the worst parts have now been fixed.

Rooms were new, clean and cozy, with comfortable beds. Exellent food, we enjoyed both breakfast and dinner. We loved this place very much and would highly recommed it for anyone who travels in that area. Hope to come back one day.

Håkøyveien 151, Tromsø is located by the sea on Håkøya,16 km from Tromsø city centre and offers a garden, barbecue equipment, jacuzzi, terrace, patio, free private parking and free WIFI. Perfect stay outside of the city for seeing the northern lights. The hosts are super friendly and helpful, thank you! Hope to be back soon!

Supermarket is within a sight from property, 1 stop in a bus (less than 2 min.) Property on its own is very clean, lovely species bathroom with powerful shower. Open space kitchen/lounge very comfortable sofa, big TV and well equipment kitchen so if you wish to cook yourself- you can.

Very nice stay. Well equipped kitchen with fridge with shelves for each room. Very responsible host, organizes very good tours. Very soft comfortable bed. It's very warm at home.

If you want a genuine boutique experience aside from the many generic hotels - come to Tranoya! As a frequent travelling family we have seen so many hotels - and while Norway hotels in general has more genuine hotels with friedly staff and individual settings - this stay indeed stood out from what we saw in Norway .. and potentialy even among our last international journeys. It's the setting on an island: after a short boat ride you come to a calm and peaceful place aside from all the roads and villages - just nature with plenty of walking space on the island. Busy travel immediately stops for you to breathe and enjoy time that seems to slow down immediately. It's the warm welcome and friendly hosts (2 sisters running the place), keeping and maintaining the magic of the heritage buildings and interior. No phones, room-TV or reception desks - but creaking wooden floors and doors, interior design kept and held with dedication and rural views through each window, with the local sheeps and other animals. Remember the times you visited remote family or stayed with first friends at their parents place, being made comfortable and looked after with attention? It's more like that and feels furthest away possible from being at a commerical venue. Sure, for people ticking boxes: theres shared bathroom, no hotel staff employees and no grocery next door to pick a quick cheap sandwich. Well, all this adds to the place and the meal served personally by the host just for you after hiking is just brilliant - neither meal nor wine was overpriced, hence don't worry at all you might miss having 10 other restaurants next door. We've been heartbroke that we had to leave per plan to proceed our route and - till today - we keep thinking back to the days we had there as a happy family, finding what we hoped for coming to Norway.
