We have to book a place the last minute as we changed our travel plan. The hotel was randomly chosen from booking.com list based on price offered. The staff Michael (or maybe he's the owner?) is attentive. I reached the place during the rain & he went out with an umbrella making sure I'm not soaking wet. The rooms were clean & cozy. Hotel used floor panels for the room, easy to clean & zero dust. The pantry is free to access & use, with nice view. We loved the room decoration, all the british street names & incorporation of green indoor plants everywhere, which is refreshing after a long drive.. Everything was pleasant.

She was always helpful and recommended us good car rental service and taxi driver. Guesthouse is very nice and clean.

At first, we were worried because we entered into quite an old residential area. However, the room iitself while priced slightly more than budget hotel but lower than normal hotel is equipped with mini fridge, haridryer, TV, wifi, water kettle, coffee, mug, water heater, free parking, really really clean and bigger than average room and toilet, a study table, wardrobe and mirror even better than some hotel priced more expensive. Definitely will recommend

El Sojourn Beds & Café es un alojamiento económico y acogedor situado en Taiping, en una casa comercial restaurada de los años 30. It is such a quaint, comfortable, cosy, nice place… its located very central and i loved my stay as it felt like an actual home ☺️ been on the road for few years, so it feels good!! The energy is very peaceful and the owner is superfriendly and helpful as well. I will definitely return if im in Taiping again 🥰

El Nipah Guesthouse está situado en la bahía Nipah, a 5 minutos a pie de la playa Nipah y a 10 minutos a pie de la playa Coral. Ofrece alojamiento decorado con buen gusto en un entorno tranquilo. Stayed in one of the A frame cottages, it was very cute! Lovely calm atmosphere at the guesthouse, with very friendly owners, who were very helpful and had lots of knowledge about the area. Right up the road from hornbill feeding at 6.30 and the beachfront is less that 5 minutes away. Pool was great.
