Tetsuji and Yoko were amazing hosts! They were the kindest couple! The sleeping rooms were beautiful with tatami mat floors and rice paper screens. We went in the winter, so it was a bit cold, but the room comes with a kotatsu table (low table with a built in heater and blanket) and it was amazingly cozy. The view from the room is also incredible, overlooking a ravine with a rushing river. In the morning the made us a delicious breakfast of rice, soup, salted fish, mountain yam and an assortment of other goodies for only ¥1000! They have cats on premise, fyi if you’re allergic, they were only with us at breakfast (obviously not in our rooms) but they are such sweet kitties! From Tersuji and Yoko, to the cozy vibes, to the attentiveness and care - It was like being taken care of by my own grandparents!

I loved loved staying here! Ash has put a lot of thought into every single detail in the hostel, and has left notes at most parts of the hostel which was very helpful! - There was breakfast included which was cereal or bread which was a really nice simple way to start the day! - The beds were so so comfortable - I haven’t slept until my alarm has gone off in a long time! - There’s plenty of space in the female dorm, and there was a cute little desk space where you can even put your feet down and a great security box system! It felt very personal and tiny house living-Esau’s! - Ash also let us use his bikes which was a nice way to see and explore the neighbourhood. - Parking was really close by and for 1200 yen a day in Tokyo?? Great great price Ash was very helpful and I would highly recommend this place for anyone with a car and wanting a place away from the business of the main area of the city!

Set in the Ota Ward district in Tokyo, 5 km from Tokyo International Airport Terminal No2 Observation Deck, HISAYO'S INN features air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi throughout the property. Hisayo-san! She’s the perfect host. Super friendly and kind and was very patient with all my questions. She kept everyone involved so that we could all help each other out. I inherited Jon-san’s pillow (thank you Jon-san!) and if I did leave anything behind, please pass it on to someone in need! Arigatō gozaimashita Hisayo-san :) mata rainen!

Featuring free WiFi and a hot tub, Mokkoan offers accommodation in Kita Ward, Tokyo. Private parking is available on site. Every room comes with a flat-screen TV with cable channels. In 28 years in Japan, I think this was the best place I’ve ever stayed. I was there for 3 nights. Mr. and Mrs. Ito were incredibly kind. They thought of every single detail, going far beyond what I expected. It was a wonderful experience and I can’t say enough about how much I enjoyed and appreciated it. I would give them a score of 100 if I could.

Hanare se bucură de o locație excelentă în cartierul Sectorul special Taito din Tokyo, la 4 minute de mers pe jos de Asakura Museum of Sculpture, la 400 m de Kyoouji Temple și la 5 minute de mers pe... Staying at Hanare was one of the highlights of our trip. The staff were personal, generous with their time and knowledgeable. We loved the breakfast and thoughtful note left for us by our host. The area is a creative hub, a wonderful place to wander and enjoy the cafes and small eateries/bars. We would love to stay again!
