The host Mina and her mom are very kind and offer great service! Mina is fluent in English and always tries her best to make sure I enjoy the stay. Stayed in the single room, the actual room size is bigger than it looks in the picture. Big wardrobe for storage. Complimentary breakfast is great and comes with a wide variety of drink options, but the portion might not be enough for people who normally eats a lot. The place is super convenient with a free shuttle bus stop right across the street, making it very easy to get the train station, GALA and Ishiuchi.

This was one of the best stays I’ve had in Japan. The lodge is very cosy and clean, and in the most convenient location if you’re planning to ski. It is right next to Shiga Kogen Ski Resort, and there is free shuttle bus that takes you to GALA and Ishiuichi in just 10-20 mins. Mina and her mum were wonderful hosts, warm and very helpful. They really took care of us and were so hospitable ☺️ The cafe downstairs is fantastic. Highly recommend having breakfast there. It is simple yet delicious, taste of Japanese home cooking. Desserts are quite special and a must try!

The host is very nice. The location is opposite to the Yuzawa Kogen ski resort. If getting the bus from Gala Yuzawa, just find the route that will pass Yuzawa Kogen and tell the bus driver. Share bathroom is not the problem. Recommend to stay here.

Old house with not simply vintage style but real details. Love all the furniture and the wood stove at first sight. Nobu welcomed us with some nice herbal tea. She speaks fluent English and we had some nice conversations. She also recommended and gave us a ride to a nice public bath. What we cherished most is the special visit to Mr. Kawanaka, the local artist. It’s our pleasure to meet him and appreciate his artwork. Truly memorable journey. Thank you!

Good location! Felt like a really cool authentic experience. It was off season and I was basically the only tourist around and had the whole place to myself!

GUEST HOUSE Googoo ligger i Niigata, 20 km från Niigata station och 19 km från Niigata Prefectural Civic Centre, och erbjuder rum med luftkonditionering och delat badrum. This is an excellent guesthouse with very kind owners that made me feel very welcomed. I will be staying here again!

Guesthouse ORI ORI öppnade i juni 2017 och erbjuder boende i Niigata, 10 minuters promenad från stationen Niigatadaigaku-Mae. This place was very cozy and beautiful. Near the college, but tucked back in a quiet corner. There was so much nice consideration put into everything. I especially loved having everyone's name on a board (I'm particularly bad with names), comfy slippers with your name on it, and the moto exchange!

Muikamachi Hutte ligger i Minami Uonuma, inom 17 km från Gala Yuzawa skidort och 40 km från Naeba skidanläggning, och erbjuder boende med ski-in/ski-out och gratis privat parkering för gäster som... Great staff and amazing chill vibes in the lounge. I really wished I stayed here longer! The breakfast was really nice and the private onsen can be booked with ease. Recommended and I will definitely visit again.

Japow is just what you need for ski vacation. Clean, confortable, very friendly stuff and great location. Not a fancy place. I highly recommend for families
