A recently renovated guest house set in Birkimelur, Strönd Guesthouse features barbecue facilities. This beachfront property offers access to a terrace, free private parking and free WiFi. Loved everything about our stay. The room was clean, the location was great and the communal facilities were excellent. Everything had been thought of with so many little touches that meant so much - handy sandwich boxes, food bags, foil etc. We were pleasantly surprised to receive extra coffee pods and fresh towels part way through our stay.

Situated in Flateyri, in a historic building, 21 km from Pollurinn Hot Spring, The Old Bookstore is a recently renovated bed and breakfast with a garden and shared lounge. This is a hidden gem in heart of Flateyri. We spent there a romantic New Years Eve and we were more than amazed by this beautful experience. It is a family run bookstore/accommodation business for decades with nicely preserved antique interior. Host gave us a quick tour in the building. Kitchen was full of kitchenware, spices, sweets and food for breakfast. Lots of books, boardgames, guitar to play and so on. This is one of 2 best places in Vestfirdir for a romantic stay.

Sunna's Guesthouse is located in Drangsnes and offers barbecue facilities. This guest house provides free private parking, a 24-hour front desk and free WiFi. simple but completely clean studio apartment with plenty of space for two people. It was warm and had a kitchen that was perfectly adequate to cook a meal. The bathroom was modern with a generously sized shower. There were two bathrobes as well as towels. It was quiet and with parking right outside. The house is up the hill from the harbour and it was a bit cold (snow everywhere) to walk to the hot pools on the shore so we took the car, but I would estimate a 10 min walk in summer.

The guesthouse is located in a small village right next to the harbour. Staffs are virtually amazing and warm. Bathrooms always kept clean and dry. Lovely small kitchen for my light dinner. Breakfast comes with plenty of choices. Overall highly impressive and recommend.

Located in Norðurfjörður, Gistiheimilið Bergistangi 1 features a terrace. This property offers access to a patio and free private parking. The accommodation is in the middle of beautiful nature, close to the thermal swimming pool, which can be reached by walk. There is also a very good restaurant very close. The accommodation was very clean and nicely equipped, we had everything we needed.

Located in Drangsnes and featuring in-room coffee/tea facilities and free Wi-Fi, this guesthouse offers versatile accommodation in both rooms and self-catering apartments. Nice, wooden cabins, the patio is a nice addition, the room was very clean, the receptionist was very warm and welcoming, all in all, I would recommend this place for any future travellers :)

Located in Súðavík and only 18 km from Pollurinn Hot Spring, Sudavik guesthouse provides accommodation with sea views, free WiFi and free private parking. We booked the three person room for just my husband and I so we could get a private bathroom. We lucked out and were the only ones booked for the night on the ground floor, so we could make use of the kitchen area and living room fully (loved all the local books + maps). It was super cozy and hosts were very thoughtful to provide free coffee grounds and tea! We had a very restful night and morning! If you stay and there are others booked on your floor for the three person room, it would still be pretty private even thought bathroom was in a separate door from bedroom and you needed to use a separate key to get in. The hosts installed a small curtain to let you go between bedroom and bathroom privately.
