It was one of our favourite places we stayed during our whole vacation.

Silke and Stefan where excellent hosts. Everything provided for a comfortable stay in iceland. Really excellent base for exploring the all the sights of the south. A real home from home for our family when staying in iceland.

Lækjaborgir Guesthouse is located in Kálfafell, 26 km east of Kirkjubæjarklaustur. Free WiFi is offered throughout the property and free private parking is available on site. Our cottage was pretty small for 4 people (2 adults and 2 kids), but it was super cute and cozy, well equipped and clean. For one night stay it was perfect. Recommended!

This family-run property is 400 metres off Route 1 and 15 km from Selfoss. It offers free Wi-Fi and a terrace. Homemade bread, jam and pastries are served for breakfast. Amazing house, space and the location. Insanely tasty breakfast. Lovely hosts. Definitely recommend this one.

Guesthouse Hateigi 2 is set in Hella. This guest house offers free private parking and a 24-hour front desk. Outdoor dining is also possible at the guest house. The village is tiny and beautiful. Host was super nice, there's free (and good!) coffee and ice, some tea as well as sugar etc. in the kitchen. It's clear the owner is all about guest satisfaction.

Spacious room, so peaceful and very clean. Beds and couch were very comfortable. Nicely decorated, nice quality linens, and well stocked kitchen.

Set in Vík and only 1 km from Reynisfjara Beach, Prestshús 2 Guesthouse offers accommodation with sea views, free WiFi and free private parking. Lovely family room.. just nice for my group of 4 pax. Nice kitchen facilities and very near to the black sand beach.

Offering a garden and lake view, Guesthouse Henia Bed&Spas is set in Selfoss, 43 km from Thingvellir National Park and 21 km from Ljosifoss. Such a lovely place to stay! Check-in and check-out was super easy. Communication with our really friendly host always quick and helpful. The apartment is cute and has all you need for two: Well-stocked kitchenette, super clean and modern bathroom, a giant TV (even though we never switched it on), and the place has its own private hot tub in the backyard! The location is perfect as it's just around the corner from Selfoss' central roundabout, so you'll find it easily and have a great base for exploring Iceland's beautiful southside. Also, you can drive to Reykjavík in just about one hour.

Landbrot Guesthouse is situated in Kirkjubæjarklaustur. There is a private entrance at the guest house for the convenience of those who stay. The hotel is very clean and comfortable. Food at the restaurant was excellent. We really enjoyed our stay!
