We felt like we were at our grandparents house, for the comfort and their way to treat the people. The house is simply a dream, but we would have liked to stay for another night. They serve MAAANY delicious things for breakfast, included the typical irish ones, and everything is really good. I think we have been even more lucky because we are close to christmas and all the house was full of christmas decorations and it was so beautiful! Nothing to say, but positive things.

Quietly situated, the family-run Shelmalier House is just 5 minutes’ drive from the town of Athlone. It features a sauna, free Wi-Fi, and free private parking. This place was wonderful. The owner Jim went out of his was to make us welcome and comfortable. There was glitch in our plans and Jim went out of his way to get it fixed fot us. It was raining and we got wet and cold-he brought us a heater.that warmed us up. He could not have been more helpful. The room was clean and very comfortable. Breakfast was delicious. Highly recommend this place. 😀
