Snooze in Yogyakarta provides adults-only accommodation with a garden and a shared lounge. The air-conditioned accommodation is 600 metres from Sultan's Palace. Water was perfect, not so cold, ideal for washing in such hot place. Staff here is incredible, super cute and helpful 😍. Never seen before. Girls recommend us what to do and help with organization, transport etc.. 10/10

Set in Yogyakarta and only 2 km from Fort Vredeburg, Rumah Jawa Guest House (Syariah) offers accommodation with garden views, free WiFi and free private parking. It was a beautiful stay very different from the regular hotels and I would strongly recommend it to visitors coming to Yogya. The architecture is gorgeous, the place peaceful and the staff were so warm and hospitable, always ready with any help or information you might need. Even if you come without planning for a driver or tour, they would be able to arrange and it is slightly better priced than some online portals. The location is on a quiet street which is great for us. The breakfast is a wonderful spread which is served as an individual set in the courtyard garden when you are ready. Don't miss this! We had different menus on the 2 days we stayed.

Located just 1.2 km from Sultan's Palace, Griya Asih provides accommodation in Yogyakarta with access to a garden, a shared lounge, as well as a 24-hour front desk. Maria was excellent with helping us with transportation and things to do and where to eat. Bram was also very attentive to our needs at breakfast. We were there for 3 nights and each morning was a different delicious and beautifully presented breakfast. The location was ideal for walking to the sites. Other than morning prayer at 4:45, it’s a very quiet location.

"NOMORE" Gallery and Guesthouse is situated in the Kraton district of Yogyakarta, less than 1 km from Museum Sonobudoyo, a 13-minute walk from Fort Vredeburg and less than 1 km from Yogyakarta... The owners are super friendly and kind, help us with the tours and they made an incredible local breakfast for us. The house is in the middle of the neighbourhood, so we could feel part of it, that was awesome. We’ll miss them, hope to come back to the same place

Featuring an outdoor swimming pool and views of mountain, Blue Garden Yogyakarta is a recently renovated guest house located in Yogyakarta, 11 km from Museum Sonobudoyo. It is out in a rural area well outside the city. Very peaceful and relaxing. Room was super clean and air conditioned with a large bathroom ( no a/c) and mini bar. ( Beer and cokes only) It has a small but good restaurant ( reserve meals in advance) and a lovely garden and pool. Looks out on rice fields with birds and nature all around. It is close.to a mosque and you can definitely hear the call to prayer. It added to the atmosphere for us and they turn down the loudspeaker for the 4am call to prayer!. You can borrow the bikes and ride through the working rice fields leased from the sultan. You certainly get to see authentic rural Javanese life but its not for those who want any kind of nightlife! Beer available but no wine, so bring your own if you want to relax over a glass while getting your authenticity!

Ndalem Suryo Saptono Guest House is situated in Yogyakarta, 2.7 km from Yogyakarta Tugu Train Station, 3.1 km from Tugu Monument, as well as 3.1 km from Malioboro Mall. Did not have breakfast as I’m allergic to eggs.

We had an amazing two nights stay there. The hosts were amazing : super nice and helpful (they spoke English pretty well), always offering us tea/coffee and driving us/picking us up from restaurants, train station or monuments when they could. The room was extremely clean, bed was very comfortable and the bathroom spacious. The home made traditional Indonesian breakfast was also delicious. We would definitely recommend this Homestay !
