It had a really good combination of privacy in our room as well as comfortable common areas that made it feel like we were just staying with the family. Nicky was able to accommodate us for the guided tour (a later start time) and I'm so glad it worked out - the tour was one of my favorite parts of the overall trip to Scotland.

It has everything, and the owner of the house thought of everything needed to give the feeling of a homely room. The bed is so comfortable and cozy. The armchair by the window is pampering and so is the cozy cover for the cool night. The bathroom is sparkling clean and the soaps smell so good! The owner of the accommodation is pleasant and welcoming and kind. She helped me a lot in planning my trip, and in general answered all my questions and it was very pleasant to talk to her. The place is just perfect and like it was taken from a book or a movie.. It met all my expectations and much more!

Deborah is very very welcoming and the breakfast she prepared was delicious!

Karrawa Guest House is set in the town of Kirkwall, less than 1 mile from the town centre and within 2.5 miles of the airport and ferry terminal. Karrawa is a lovely home with a very comfortable guest room and an exquisitely appointed en-suite. Everything was so clean and Fyona was quite friendly snd welcoming. Our cooked breakfast was delicious. I wish we had been able to spend more time there.
