From the minute we arrived to the minute we left there was a warm inviting atmosphere. The owners and staff were lovely.. The room was well decorated and spotlessly clean. We had all the facilities we required. The bed was comfortable which added to having a good night's sleep. We eat there on both nights as the food was of such good quality and staff were very efficient and friendly.

Lovely owner who was so friendly and accommodating. Absolutely spotless and such a beautiful house with a delicious breakfast. Sad I wasn't staying for longer! Will definitely stay again if in thr area.

Situated just 13 km from Donington Park, The Star features accommodation in West Leake with access to a garden, a bar, as well as luggage storage space. A perfect country pub both for locals and visitors. Well situated, being in the countryside but not far from major routes and East Midlands Airport. The staff were outstanding, both friendly and efficient. Over the three nights of our stay it was good to see the seamless teamwork that made us feel so very comfortable. The food - both breakfasts, snacks and dinners were all delicious, freshly cooked and not just the same old standards found elsewhere. We will be back on our next trip to see family in the area.

This is one of the best accomodation places that we have ever stayed at. The host and hostess are very welcoming and helpful as well as being totally professional. Our room was outstanding in cleanliness and ambience, spacious and convenience. Attentive and personal service for a hot breakfast and hot coffee. Property well situated for Sherwood Forest and there were many local walks right from the house. Definitely the place to stay in this region.
