Plenty of tea/coffee on the hospitality tray with extras available on a help yourself basis. Excellent value for money & the room is smarter than many that charge more! We were in Edinburgh for The Fringe & usually stay in the city centre but prices were so high this year we chose to stay a little further out & use the bus. Roost Hill was in a fantastic location for this - the no 33 bus is so close by it was as easy as being further into the city, & it runs 3x per hour, is reliable & tickets are only £2 a single for any distance, it seemed. The location was great for the city centre, & the hospitality & presentation of Roost Hill were excellent. We were able to leave bags safely when we arrived very early, & leave them securely at the end of our stay & return to collect them later so it was very convenient. The breakfast each morning was something we looked forward to each day. It was restaurant quality (wife asked for a recipe) and the soft background music (personal note here) was spot on. Our room was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. The property is located near a bus stop, so getting around isn’t an issue. Lastly, it’s a 2 minute (max) skip down to the beach. It’s one block away.
