The breakfast was fresh and delicious and the dinner was exceptional...one of the best fish I have ever had! I highly recommend stopping here for any occasion. The rooms are very unique and have a story behind them. 10 out of 10 recommend!

L'Esplanade Lille is set in the historic centre of Lille in front of the Citadel of Lille and a 14-minute walk from Lille Grand Place. Seriously, this is one of the best hotels I have booked. Ambiance is perfect. The room is lovely, large, comfortable, clean, warm and with a beautiful view. 5-10mins walk to the center and nice bars or restaurants. Breakfast was peaceful, with a nice view and appretizing.

Excellent and knowledgeable kind and helpful staff with excellent tips for tourists. Room and bed were large, quiet and comfortable for a couple. Breakfast was very good with local pastries, breads, cheeses and meats. Parking was excellent and safe and secure for travellers with foreign cars. Lille and the tourist sights were convenient to reach by public transport.

Marie Louise and her husband were wonderful! It was such a beautiful French home and the cats were lovely, friendly and funny! The room was quite comfortable and I had the whole floor to myself. I went to breakfast in the morning and walked into a setting fit for a queen! It was beautiful, plentiful and delicious. I would definitely recommend this authentic French home! Marie Louise took me to the ferry and it was better by far than a taxi! Wonderful stay, I'd go back.
