Casa Ruy Lopez is located in the centre of Zafra and next to its main square. It has a restaurant, free WiFi and a terrace. Each room at Casa Ruy Lopez has attractive traditional décor. It's a lovely small hotel in a quiet beautiful neighborhood, short walk to the center of town and you will find crowds. Hostess was so nice, she waited for us since we arrived outside of their regular reception hour. Our room was spacious and well decorated. Breakfast room was so pretty, even the utensils were packed in a lovely handmade pocket. Breakfast items were delicate and delicious.

While there isn’t a restaurant kitchen, the staff will heat up/ cook any prepared foods you purchase such as frozen pizzas or other foods. And you can eat supper prior to 8:30 p.m. if you would like. Salads, bocadillos, and lots of other items available. The store opens at 7 a.m. so you can have coffee early before setting out for the day. We had a very pleasant stay.

Juan was even kind enough to put my motorcycle into his garage overnight as the train was horrendous. Comfy bed, great breakfast dinner in the bar adjacent was great.
