Maria Laura has been like a mum to us: offering her delicious creations, giving tips, sharing many interesting talks. Absolutely flexible with late check-in due to late plane arrival. Kept our luggage in a safe place for a few days. Confortable bedroom with AC in a lovely house in a safe neighbourhood.

Extremely friendly and helpful host. Beautiful and quiet place with a wonderful garden. We enjoyed our stay a lot and would definitely recommend!

Hostal las Rosas, a property with a garden, is located in Salta, 2.9 km from El Gigante del Norte Stadium, 3 km from Salta Town Hall, as well as 3.2 km from 9 de Julio Park. A large house in the suburbs. Double room with bathroom on upper floor was great - large room with lots of storage. Good communication with owner & his uncle (lives nearby, need him to let you in upon arrival). Easy 15 min walk from the the bus terminal.

Casa de Campo La Paya is located in Cachí. The guest house provides an Argentinian restaurant as well as free WiFi. Towels and bed linen are featured in the guest house. Fascinating (large, comfortable) rooms with 2-foot-thick adobe walls, local art/antiques displayed. Lovely courtyard, lounge with bilingual library and local art collection plus good Internet/WiFi (signal couldn’t penetrate our room, however). Very good breakfast including delicious fresh cactus fruit; hotel owners have a farm and even grow fruits in hotel courtyard. Dinner was superb. On our night the (single, fixed-price, all-included) menu was delicious tomato soup with local cheese (extra servings offered and eagerly eaten), large tender beefsteaks, flavorful roast vegetables (from that farm), choice of desserts (we ate fruit compote with nuts), excellent regional wine. The menu changes daily. Bilingual (Spanish/English) owner/manager.

The lady that served breakfast also help me call a cab to go to the airport, which was very helpful since I don’t speak Spanish.

Boasting garden views, Finca Cielo Verde features accommodation with pool with a view, a garden and a bar, around 42 km from Salta Convention Center. Carlos and Carla are wonderful hosts and human beings. We felt privileged to stay in their rustic farmhouse home. We had a private room and bathroom overlooking their beautiful garden. The shared dining / lounge area was lovely.  We were due to move on but would happily have stayed much longer. Breakfast was excellent and one evening we had a restaurant quality meal prepared by Carla using locally produced ingredients. If we came back to Salta area we would definitely stay with them again.
