The host was very inviting and shared the history of the house. It is an outstanding property with a beautiful private garden and swimming pool. The room was large and comfortable. There is local marble used throughout in beautiful colors. The house is beautifully decorated with seating areas and lounges. Easy parking in front of property. Good breakfast included. I highly recommend staying here when visiting Vila Vícosa.

I was a little concerned it would be noisy due to the location, but it was really quiet, got a really good nights sleep. The only slight niggle was the lack of private parking, although there was on street parking out the front of the hotel. The rooms were spacious, immaculately clean and the breakfast was continental, although we were offered scrambled eggs.
