The air-conditioned rooms of Casa do Colégio Velho combine charming decorated wrought iron beds with modern facilities, such as flat-screen TVs. All rooms feature a private marble bathroom.

Guest can relax in the large garden, which has 17th-century tiled benches. The garden house features a piano and a games room.

The host was very inviting and shared the history of the house. It is an outstanding property with a beautiful private garden and swimming pool. The room was large and comfortable. There is local marble used throughout in beautiful colors. The house is beautifully decorated with seating areas and lounges. Easy parking in front of property. Good breakfast included. I highly recommend staying here when visiting Vila Vícosa.

What a lovely hotel in the middle of the village. I was a little concerned it would be noisy due to the location, but it was really quiet, got a really good nights sleep. The only slight niggle was the lack of private parking, although there was on street parking out the front of the hotel. The rooms were spacious, immaculately clean and the breakfast was continental, although we were offered scrambled eggs. The pool was a lovely bonus and the garden and patio area although small was delightful.

Breakfast was decent, and the location superb. Sr. Alberto, the owner, was exceptionally welcoming and kind, even showing me around his private museum, which is quite interesting. (And indeed the whole house is really a museum, as it's 300 years old and full of antiques.) A lot of art and exotic antique furniture.
