A fantastic and unique B&B in in the little picturesque village Jirnsum, perfectly run by Bonnie and Charles. Unique location within a former church, lovely owners, and essentially a well-equipped studio perfect for short or longer stay. Good shower, fully equipped kitchen, great bed and beautiful stained glass windows, remnant of the architectural features of the church. There's a little sitting area outside the room with lovely books and games. If you're interested - Charles will give you a tour of the clock tower - just above the room! Breakfast, care of Bonnie, was plentiful and flavorful. We are already planning on going back!

A very cosy house with a history, tastefully decorated. There was all one might need for a comfortable stay: coffee machine, tea, cooking place. The bed was comfy, shower well equipped and clean. The room was decorated with traditional objects from Friesland. The host was friendly and very helpful.

beautifully situated only a few meters from water. Very quiet and apartment had absolutely everything one would need. Owners were very helpful and approachable.

Rufus is located in the middle of the frisian countryside with only other farms around it. It has a very relaxing vibe that will take you out of your daily routines and instantly put you in a mood to enjoy the moment and not worry about anything else. There are many acitivities that you can do (rent out sailboats, SUP etc.) And they have a cute cafe/bar right on the waterfront. There you also get your breakfast; you pre-order the breakfast the day before so you get exactly what you want and nothing gets wasted, we really liked that. This is not a five-star hotel, so don't expect that standard. But the room and the facilities were clean and in good condition.

We liked the area (reachable by a car). The hosts were exceptional, and the breakfast was amazing! They let us use their bikes to go on a tour next to the canal.

Wonderful hosts. A beautiful rural setting on a working dairy farm. Central to Friesland lakes and countryside. Immaculately presented with 4 ensuite rooms leading on to individual terraces and a lawned garden. A cooked breakfast prepared for each of us based on our choices; plus a lovely selection of cereals, fresh fruit, breads, cold meats - perfect! Tea and coffee making facilties in our room was a welcome surprise. Ample parking for cars. Nothing was too much trouble.

The location was very good and the street parking was near and safe. Azza was a joy to chat with in the mornings when our traditional breakfast arrived at our requested time. Hein-Willem was very helpful with his local knowledge of the area.
