The villa was in a quiet road. Ahungalla beach was 5 min. walk. I also really liked the little bay in front of Villa Thotupola which was just next to the long beach. It is a family run business and the owners are very nice, helpful. They also do airport transfers, trips. The breakfast was always very tasty. We had traditional bits and pieces as well. Always fresh fruit.The little kitchen had a kettle, a knife(is useful when you buy your own fruit), bottle opener.The room was very clean. The bed had a net. There is a sitting area in front of the room. It had a drying rack.It was nice to relax there. Fresh flowers on the table. I adored the beautiful garden they have. We also fed the monkeys! Spent a great time there and also the little village has an ayurvedic shop on the main road.The owner has it all!

Wonderfully spacious and bright and from the moment you step in, you’re made to feel very welcome. This is Mehesh’s Palace and he’s rightly proud of it. The attention to detail in this very modern property is simply stunning. From arranging activities (we visited the turtle sanctuary and the rustic Ayurveda (Kuma) spa, amongst many other things). There is so much to see and do a short Tuk Tuk drive away. Mahesh and every member of his staff at this family run boutique hotel could not have been more helpful, friendly and attentive. Mehesh even arranged a romantic candlelit dinner for two on the roof top. We saw a family of monkies playing in the trees behind the hotel and we had a visiting peacock on the roof. All quite magical. The stunning beach is only a short walk away as well. It’s truly a perfect base to enjoy the wonders of Sri Lanka.

I had an exceptional stay at this hotel. The staff was incredibly welcoming and attentive. The room was spacious, clean, and beautifully decorated. The location was perfect, close to many attractions and restaurants. I highly recommend this hotel and will definitely be returning on my next visit!

The Villa is open and spacious and has a really relaxed feel to it. Jayantha and the owners are so welcoming and want nothing more then to make your stay special.

Perfect nice & clean place basically right on the beach, with good restaurant and Turtle rescue center in the neighborhood. In the end we received nice gift from the collective. Recommended !

Wow only lovely words for this place! First of all: the owners are the best. They are so friendly and helpful. Second: the house is great. The room is very clean, you have a fan and AC, big bathroom, a terrace, good wifi and a nice green garden. Also breakfast was delicious! And at last: the house is 2 minutes walk from a quiet beach and also a supermarket. If you want some rest and not in a touristic area. This is perfect!

Exceptional group of staff who quickly became like family. The food was amazing, and could be custom made each time to suit my Veggie preferences. The room was HUGE and there was enough space to roam even though I was in quarantine for the week. 10/10
